Hello! My name is Aaliyah. I'm a complex-minded, simple Afro-Latina Philly girl. I don't fit into any specific box, and I prefer it that way. Despite being young, awkward, and quirky, I'm also tough, passionate, and intelligent, so never underestimate me. Currently, I'm in college pursuing my passion for chemistry, but I also make time for my other interests, including track and field, dance, art, music, fashion, activism, and media. I'm fascinated by TV shows and movies of all genres, such as drama, comedy, horror, musical, superhero, romance, and action. I love delving into the stories and perspectives of the characters, immersing myself in their world as if I were a character myself. For me, media is more than just entertainment; it's a learning experience. And from personal experience, I can tell you that all forms of media, regardless of the genre, the number of seasons/sequels, the number of awards won, or popularity, have the ability to spark important conversations, give a voice to people who have been silenced, and form communities and relationships that stretch beyond the initial connection. I am excited to join the Je-Ree Reviews Media team to share my opinions and thoughts and form even more connections with amazing people.

Jazz is creative by nature and balances dual passions. By day, she works as a technical consultant, utilizing her expertise to solve complex problems. By night, she dives into her creative side as a writer, channeling her love for literature and storytelling. An avid reader and lover of cinema, she thrives on mind-bending movies, independent films, science fiction, and thrillers with rom-coms thrown in. Her literary influences include Nikki Giovanni, Octavia Butler, and Toni Morrison, while her favorite films, “Mo' Better Blues” and “Love Jones,” are tied for first place. As a mother of one, Jaz is now an empty nester, dedicating herself to the long-anticipated goal of publishing her first novel and her Podcast, Coffee or Tea.

I am a former teacher who taught for over 10 years before transitioning into roles that advocate for the community. I have always enjoyed watching television since Aretha Franklin sang for 'A Different World' or maybe it was 'All My Children's' Dixie and Tad. Hello, I am Karen-Elizabeth, but, the people who say they love me, call me Kae! Born in North Carolina, raised in Germany and Texas, I have lived my entire life around the arts. My father was a noted artist/actor/cartoonist, and filled our family home and imaginations with creativity of all kinds through painting, drawing, theater, music, and literature. From the dramatic to the cinematic, the arts have always connected me to different people, places, and experiences. In the third grade, I discovered my own passion for the arts through writing and watching movies and must-see TV. Joining the Je-Ree Reviews Media team gives me the opportunity to bring these loves back together.

Hola mi gente! Life long lover of books. My tastes generally lean towards Romance although I’m always ready for a good Fantasy or Paranormal fiction. Love a good spicy book but I can also rock with clean Y.A. Although physical books are my preferred format, I mostly read ebooks and audio due to the convenience. Constantly on the hunt for the best love stories from indie BIPOC, LGBTQ+, and other marginalized authors, so please send me ALL the recs (A+ if the MC is plus sized). I do a lot of ARC (Advanced Reader Copy) reviews, (mostly Romance) and trilogy/series.
