2024 VMAs Block Party Kicked Off Ahead of Ceremony
The second annual VMAs Block Party was a vibrant kickoff for the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards, drawing a lively crowd to Domino Park in Brooklyn on Sunday, September 8 and Je-Ree Reviews Media was in attendance. The event featured an array of performances and activities that captivated both locals and visitors.
Highlights included live music from Jordan Adetunji, Knox, and Lola Brooke, alongside an all-day
DJ set by DJ CherishTheLuv. The hosting duties were handled by MTV’s Dometi Pongo and CBS News New York’s Alecia Reid, adding a touch of star power and excitement to the proceedings.

The 2024 VMAs are set to air live from UBS Arena on Wednesday, September 11, at 8 PM ET/PT on MTV, with a pre-show starting at 6:30 PM. The block party set the stage for a thrilling awards show, celebrating music and pop culture in grand style.

Looks like a fun event but I won’t be watching the award show. I feel like it lost the art of music and visuals for music. I’m not even sure who most of the artist are. Congrats to all the nominees though!
