The second annual VMAs Block Party was a vibrant kickoff for the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards, drawing a lively crowd to Domino Park in Brooklyn on Sunday, September 8 and Je-Ree Reviews Media was in attendance. The event featured an array of performances and activities that captivated both locals and visitors.

Highlights included live music from Jordan Adetunji, Knox, and Lola Brooke, alongside an all-day

DJ set by DJ CherishTheLuv. The hosting duties were handled by MTV’s Dometi Pongo and CBS News New York’s Alecia Reid, adding a touch of star power and excitement to the proceedings.

The block party was packed with engaging activities, including:

• Ticket Giveaways: Free passes for upcoming events added an element of surprise and anticipation.

The event also featured surprise appearances from MTV’s Chanel West Coast, block party alum Alexander Stewart, and Margie Plus, adding an extra layer of excitement to the day.

The 2024 VMAs are set to air live from UBS Arena on Wednesday, September 11, at 8 PM ET/PT on MTV, with a pre-show starting at 6:30 PM. The block party set the stage for a thrilling awards show, celebrating music and pop culture in grand style.
