9-1-1 Lone Star to End with Season 5
Fans have speculated for quite some time that 9-1-1 Lone Star would be ending with Season 5 at FOX. With the flagship show '9-1-1' moving to ABC and no word on the Texas based show eyebrows were raised.
Throw in that fan favorite Sierra McClain would not be returning as Grace - the fate of the show was almost sealed. Fast forward to cast members sharing goodbye posts on social media - the nail was in the coffin however FOX remained silent - until now.
“From the start, fans have followed the heroic and deeply moving stories of the men and women who make up Austin’s 126, so a huge thanks to one of the greatest creative teams in all of television — Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk and Tim Minear — for creating one of the most action-packed dramas anywhere,” Fox President Michael Thorn said in a statement on Thursday. “Now in our final season of the show, we’re set to give it the high-stakes send-off it deserves, complete with breathless rescues, insurmountable odds and relatable personal struggles, thanks to our incomparable, stellar cast led by Rob Lowe and Gina Torres.”
According to Deadline, other possible spin-offs at ABC are possible with Las Vegas being mentioned as a new city.
The final season, which will be 12 episodes, begins airing on Monday, September 23.
