This week on All American two OG cast members return for celebration, tough conversations, and to clear up a few rumors.
Laura Baker returns home for Grandpa Willie’s (GW) birthday celebration. Prompting Jordan and Layla to confront her with the baby picture. She confirms she knew Billy had a half-brother, but not who he was.
KJ lets Cassius in on his plan of being Amina’s fake boyfriend, despite him having actual feelings for her. Cassius knowingly tells him it’s a bad idea and can cause friction among the teenagers. However, he continued to enlist his father for help in executing plays on and off the field.
Marqui shows up to South Crenshaw unexpectedly in an attempt to remove Khalil from school. It’s time for Khalil to provide his alibi for the night of the volunteer event. Preach stepped in causing tension with his father but gratitude from him.
While socializing at the bar, Coop watches video lectures of her Professor, sparking speculation from Layla that she’s interested. Patience pops up for a surprise visit, after a news article of her with another woman surfaces.
Khalil battles his father’s demons during practice. Preach offers to help but due to a conflict of interest, Khalil finds solace during his conversation with Jordan. Although, different views from different social class brings them both to different standpoints.
During a conversation with Coop, Patience notes a possible move to London for a new job. Coop’s lack of anger and care towards more distance disappoints her as she wonders about the future of their relationship.
KJ, Amina, and Khalil link up with Tori. Trivia night causes competitiveness from the high school gang. Amina tries to distract Khalil with some fun, but the topic of testifying to the police causes question if his father has his best interest at heart.
GW’s birthday party gathers the neighborhood and expresses him missing the family unit. Jordan sees that as the perfect opportunity to invite Coach Bobby. The evening turns into quite the ambush as Coach Bobby and GW refute the adoption allegations.
The awkward conversation with GW brought kinship among Jordan and Cassius. Could this finally be the beginning of a beautiful friendship?
Khalil tells his father no in regards to lying to the police. Conflicts sparks as his father warns him of a foster care future without him there. The police come to question him at the birthday party, making Laura step in as his counsel.
Having nowhere to go, Khalil is invited to stay with Layla and Jordan in Beverly. Talk about a nostalgic storyline huh?
