Amazon Freevee Decides Not to Greenlight Who’s the Boss? Sequel Series
Je-Ree Reviews Media has learned that Amazon MGM Studios has decided to stop working on a new installment of the beloved sitcom Who’s the Boss?.
It’s disappointing to hear that the revival of Who’s the Boss? has been shelved, especially after such a long development process and the anticipation surrounding it. The original series holds a special place in many fans' hearts, and the prospect of Tony Danza and Alyssa Milano reprising their roles offered a nostalgic connection to the beloved characters.
The involvement of writers like Mike Royce and Brigitte Muñoz-Liebowitz, along with Norman Lear’s legacy as an executive producer, gave hope that the revival could address contemporary issues while retaining the charm of the original.
Alyssa Milano’s desire to reflect the progressive themes of the ’80s while incorporating modern topics was particularly appealing, as it suggested a thoughtful approach to the storyline.
As for the Bosch spinoff focused on J. Edgar, it’s a shame that two promising projects are now off the table. Read about the details here. It seems like there’s a lot of volatility in the industry right now, with networks and studios reevaluating which projects to prioritize.
Are there any other revivals or continuations of classic shows that you’re hoping to see come to fruition?
