Andrea Londo Is Headed to the Courtroom: Joins CBS’ ‘Matlock’ In Recurring Role

Andrea Londo (known for her role in Narcos) has landed a significant recurring part in the upcoming drama series Matlock on CBS, which is inspired by the classic TV show of the same name and stars Kathy Bates.

Created by Jennie Snyder Urman, Matlock features Bates as Madeline “Matty” Matlock, a brilliant septuagenarian who returns to work at a prestigious law firm, utilizing her unassuming nature and cunning strategies to secure victories in court cases.

Matty is paired with Olympia (Skye P. Marshall), a senior attorney and influential figure in the firm with a strong sense of justice. Olympia's ex-husband, Julian (Jason Ritter), who is the son of the firm's leader (Beau Bridges), is fascinated by Matty and her sharp abilities.

Londo is set to portray Simone, a new junior associate at the law firm who holds fond memories of Sarah (Leah Lewis) from law school. However, Sarah perceives her as a rival, creating a challenging environment where trust is hard to come by. David Del Rio is also part of the cast.

Urman serves as executive producer alongside Joanna Klein, Eric Christian Olsen, John Will, and Bates. The series is being produced by CBS Studios.

Londo is perhaps most recognized for her standout performance as Maria Salazar in Season 3 of Narcos.

In the realm of film, she played a leading role in Sony's Superfly remake. Her most recent appearance was in Nicole Gomez Fisher’s Good Egg, which was acquired by Vertical at TIFF in 2023. She is set to appear next in Adventure Tom, a road trip dramedy written and directed by Miguel Duran (Monsoon) for Create Entertainment, slated for release in late 2024. Londo is represented by Gersh and Principal Entertainment LA.

Matlock is scheduled to premiere on CBS on September 22.
