Apple TV+ has renewed Bill Lawrence's dramedy Shrinking for a third season, starring Jason Segel and Harrison Ford.
The announcement was made on Thursday at New York Comic Con, with Segel, co-creator Brett Goldstein, and cast members Christa Miller, Jessica Williams, Luke Tennie, Michael Urie, Lukita Maxwell, and Ted McGinley all present on stage.
“I’m so lucky to work on Shrinking with actors, writers and a crew so talented that they all elevate the material,” said co-creator and executive producer Bill Lawrence in a statement. “I’m even luckier that they are people I’d want to spend time with anyway. Huge thanks to to Apple TV+ and Warner Bros. for the amazing partnership and support. So grateful we get to keep making this show. Onward!”
Shrinking follows therapist Jimmy (played by Segel) who, after experiencing grief, starts to defy conventions by speaking his mind to his clients. Despite going against his training and ethical principles, he ends up instigating significant and turbulent transformations in people's lives, including his own, all the while attempting to mend his relationship with his teenage daughter, Alice. Ford portrays Paul, Jimmy's senior colleague.
The ensemble also features Williams from The Daily Show, Miller from Cougar Town, Maxwell from Generation, Urie from Ugly Betty, McGinley from Married… With Children, and Tennie from Players.
