In Li’s office, Finn anxiously paces, recalling his mother’s suspicions about Luna’s father. He calls Poppy, who hesitates but agrees to meet. After hanging up, he studies a photo of Luna, lost in thought.
At Bill’s, Luna assures him she doesn’t mind the ankle monitor and is grateful for his help. He reminds her to keep it secret. She reflects on her chaotic childhood—constantly moving, caring for her mother through hangovers, and always being told they only needed each other. But if that were true, why won’t Poppy reveal her father’s identity?
At Il Giardino, Jack thanks Li for meeting him. She admits she avoided him for years because it hurt too much. When he apologizes for his past, she cuts him off—she’s the one who was wrong for believing he was Luna’s father.
In Finn’s office, he researches Luna’s past. Poppy arrives, sensing tension. Finn confronts her—he knows about the paternity tests. She admits it was a painful ordeal. Finn, frustrated, questions why she hid Tom’s letters. Was it because she knew he wasn’t the father? She dodges the question, but he presses, “You know why I’m asking.”
Back at Il Giardino, Deacon comments that Finn would be happy to see Jack and Li getting along. Jack agrees, and they acknowledge their shared love for Finn.
At Bill’s, Luna believes she deserves the truth. She’s convinced Tom isn’t her father. “After all this time, I’m still searching.”
In Finn’s office, he recalls late-night talks with Poppy on the roof, their deep connection, and the night things changed. He reminds her he was adopted and of age, but looking back, it feels wrong. Poppy whispers, “You changed my life.”
Finn tenses. “How much did I change it?” He remembers her sudden disappearance after revealing she was pregnant. His voice hardens. “You swore the baby wasn’t mine, then vanished.” He locks eyes with her. “Tell me the truth, Poppy. Is Luna my daughter?”
