The Bold and the Beautiful opens at Forrester Creations at night. Ridge reflects on his conversation with Carter and his subsequent firing. Brooke asks if he’s okay, and Ridge admits he always saw Carter as a brother and feels deeply betrayed.
At the cabin, Hope waits for Carter, who arrives distraught. He tells her Ridge knows about everything. Carter can’t shake the image of Ridge’s face filled with disappointment.
At the cliff house, Steffy and Taylor chat over coffee. Taylor has just spent time with Steffy’s children, and Finn is working late. Steffy expresses how much she loves having her mom nearby and asks if Taylor will stay. Taylor appreciates feeling wanted, and Steffy reassures her of the love she and the children have for her.
Meanwhile, Ridge dwells on Carter’s betrayal. Initially, he thought Carter’s involvement with Quinn was just a slip-up, but now he questions Carter’s integrity. Ridge reflects on Carter’s claim to love Hope and how he rejected an opportunity to make things right.
Hope tells Carter that Brooke overheard their conversation and ambushed Ridge with the truth. Carter acknowledges the risk he took and feels the weight of Ridge’s pain and disappointment.
Back at the cliff house, Taylor notices Steffy’s attempts at matchmaking and playfully calls her out. Steffy wonders why Brooke and Ridge aren’t married, but Taylor deflects, insisting she doesn’t need a man. Steffy probes further, asking if Ridge would be the one Taylor wanted if she did want a man.
Brooke encourages Ridge to share what happened. Ridge recounts the betrayal and his confrontation with Carter. He reveals that he gave Carter a chance to step away, but Carter refused.
Carter admits to Hope that it’s one thing to discuss taking risks but another to face Ridge’s anger. He recalls Ridge offering him a way out if he ended his relationship with Hope. Despite this, Carter stands by his decision, telling Hope that she’s worth the gamble.
Steffy assures Taylor she just wants her parents to be happy, noting how Brooke has a history of making mistakes. She contrasts Taylor and Brooke’s approaches to family and love. Taylor hopes for Ridge’s sake that Brooke doesn’t hurt him but acknowledges Brooke often sabotages herself.
Ridge and Brooke discuss Justin’s efforts to handle the fallout. Ridge remains upset, blaming Hope for keeping her relationship with Carter a secret and their attempted takeover of the company.
At the cabin, Hope tries to convince Carter to reconsider his firing, but Carter refuses. He tells her he loves her and is determined to face this challenge together, seeing it as the start of their journey.
