At the Forrester mansion, Eric expressed concern about the company’s current state. Ridge and Taylor reassured him, saying that while Justin hadn’t been helpful, Steffy’s plan was about to kick in, and Forrester would soon be back in its rightful hands.
Ridge mentioned Steffy’s strategy to appeal to Carter’s conscience, though both he and Eric were skeptical about the outcome. Taylor noted that Brooke had said something similar and pointed out that Carter seemed to be having doubts. She believed that the real Carter was still inside, waiting to be drawn out by the right person. Taylor explained that while external factors can shape a person’s behavior, their core values remain the same, and she was confident the true Carter would resurface. Eric and Ridge reflected on how deeply hurt and betrayed they felt by Carter’s actions. Later, Ridge had flashbacks of times when he and Carter were close, sharing family moments.
In the CEO’s office, Hope was excited as the jewelry line launch was approaching, and Carter’s dream of building a luxury global brand was on track. Hope expected Carter to be more excited, but when she asked why he wasn’t smiling, Brooke observed that he still seemed distant. Hope tried to reassure him, telling him the jewelry line would be a huge success, but Carter remained somber, staring at a picture of Eric and Stephanie behind his desk.
Meanwhile, in the design office, Steffy and Daphne discussed their strategy to shift from seduction to appealing to Carter’s integrity. Daphne was optimistic, agreeing with Steffy that Carter seemed to be undergoing a significant internal change. Daphne, who admired Carter’s success and good looks, admitted it was now a personal mission to help him return to the man he used to be—one who wasn’t caught up with Hope.
When Hope walked into the design office, she stopped short and smiled at the tension between Steffy and Daphne. Steffy acknowledged Daphne’s allure but quickly steered the conversation back to business. Just then, Brooke entered and asked if everything was alright between them. Steffy confirmed everything was fine, but noted that Forrester’s current situation wasn’t great. Hope countered, asserting that the new power structure would be proven successful by the jewelry line launch and urged Steffy to accept the leadership change. Behind Hope, Brooke looked uneasy.
Steffy reminded Hope that they were at a crossroads—success or massive debt—and that the company’s future remained uncertain. She expressed her concerns about how this was affecting their family, especially their father and grandfather. "Do you know what this is doing to them?" Steffy asked, but Brooke, visibly emotional, excused herself. “Brooke, what’s wrong?” Steffy asked. Brooke, sniffling, replied, "I just need a minute," before walking out. Steffy then pointed out to Hope that Brooke seemed to be realizing the wrongs in their actions, including those involving Carter.
Hope dismissed Steffy’s comment, blaming Ridge’s reluctance to commit as the real problem. She argued that the Logans were finally getting the respect they deserved and claimed that Brooke and Carter made a powerful team.
In the CEO’s office, Daphne entered and caught Carter’s attention with her new fragrance. She mentioned the jewelry line launch and took his hand, prompting Charlie, who was passing by, to comment on the scent. After Charlie left, Carter expressed confidence that the fragrance line would be a success, just like the jewelry. But Daphne pressed him, asking if it felt strange to celebrate without the Forresters involved. She then mentioned how she could sense when someone wasn’t being true to themselves and suggested Carter might be wrapped up in Hope’s influence.
Daphne confronted Carter, accusing him of being addicted to Hope’s attention and of being willing to betray a close friend to make their relationship last. Carter laughed it off, but Daphne insisted that he knew the takeover didn’t feel right. As they spoke, Brooke appeared in the doorway, and Daphne, sensing the tension, leaned over Carter and urged him to think carefully about his choices before leaving.
Brooke entered and agreed with Daphne’s assessment, urging Carter to listen to her. She reminded him that while Eric and Ridge were at home, they were both behind the desk—lost in the wake of the takeover. Brooke admitted that she and Carter shared a mutual love for Hope but also something deeper: both of them had lost Ridge because of the events at Forrester. As she cried, Brooke confessed that they both missed Ridge, and implored Carter to consider how much longer they could let this continue. “Ridge belongs here at Forrester!” she said, as Carter looked visibly torn.
