Thoughts: Jessica Cage has done it again! This book is chock full of drama, vampire and hunter lore, a demonic cat, spice, bad ass black women killing monsters and… alien demons? Whitney’s ability to adapt to the ever changing landscape of her life is admirable. The strong friendship she shares with her best friends, Lena and Jackie, celebrates the bond of sisterhood while acknowledging the work done to maintain and nourish true friendship. Their friendship isn’t always perfect and secrets hurt, but being able to empathize and apologize are key to their long lasting bond. Domino is your typical sassy pants vampire, who has seen and done it all. He’s not a “good doer” he’s just less evil than most other vamps. He still craves Whitney’s blood but his insta attraction to her is deeper than just her blood. He craves the woman, and will do anything in his power to protect her from his brother, even work alongside his enemies.
This story is perfect for lovers of rom coms with a paranormal twist. If you’re looking for laughs, spice and action this is a must read.
