Blue Bloods is set to wrap up its highly successful 14-season run, with CBS confirming that the series finale will air on Friday, December 13 at 10/9c. Fans of the beloved family/cop drama can expect an emotional send-off as the Reagan family’s story comes to a close.
Bridget Moynahan, who plays Erin Reagan, shared her thoughts on the finale, saying, “I think that fans will feel somewhat satisfied… but then you’re going to want more. There are these nuggets where people are going to be like, ‘Yes!!!’ And then the show’s over. It’s going to be bittersweet in some ways.” The final episode promises to provide a sense of closure, yet leave viewers with a mix of emotions.
Before the series finale, CBS will air a special titled Blue Bloods: Celebrating a Family Legacy on Friday, November 29 at 9/8c. The special will also be available live and on-demand for Paramount+ with SHOWTIME subscribers, and on-demand for Paramount+ Essential subscribers the following day.
Hosted by Entertainment Tonight's Nischelle Turner, this one-hour retrospective will look back on 293 episodes of Blue Bloods, featuring new interviews with the cast and recurring guest stars. The cast will share their favorite memories and behind-the-scenes stories from the past 14 years. One of the highlights will be a rare inside look at the iconic Reagan family dinner scene, where cast members reveal family dinner secrets and reflect on the first time they filmed the scene during the pilot when they were still strangers to one another.
The special will culminate with an exclusive sneak peek at the series finale, offering fans a first look at how the Reagan family’s journey will come to an end.
As Blue Bloods prepares to say goodbye, both the series finale and the one-hour retrospective are sure to be a memorable and emotional farewell for fans who have followed the Reagans through their years of service, family, and drama.
