Are you ready for another spinoff 9-1-1 fans? If you aren't ready, you need to get ready because the powers that be are making moves on this new spin-off taking place in Nashville.
Just announced - Chris O'Donnell has been cast in the new show as Fire Captain Don Sharpe. Cap is described as, “a rugged fire captain and rodeo rider who runs Nashville’s busiest firehouse with his beloved son. Don’s a devoted husband and family man but he has his secrets.”
Chris O'Donnell, who is widely recognized for playing lead Special Agent G. Callen on NCIS: Los Angeles, although he will always be Robin to me, is a fitting choice for the new fire captain and poised to take over the franchise. Fans have expressed confusion over the cancellation of Lone Star just to have another spin-off in the South. Hopefully, fans will embrace the new spin-off.
His role on NCIS Los Angeles was much beloved and fans were saddened when CBS announced cancellation of the series.
No further casting announcements have been made but one can make an educated guess that a crossover is inevitable. Rumors are swirling that Angela Bassett may make an appearance in the pilot to usher in the new cast. The series is created by Ryan Murphy, Tim Minear, and Rashad Raisani, and executive producers are Murphy, Minear, Brad Falchuk, and Angela Bassett.
What disasters happen in Nashville that will set the series apart from Lone Star? Only time will tell once we fans are treated to first looks and trailers. In the meantime, keep it locked in right here at Je-Ree Reviews Media as we bring you the latest news and updates regarding further casting announcements, first looks and trailers.
The Nashville spin-off will premiere on ABC during the 2025-26 broadcast season.
