Prepare your knives and get your aprons ready, as the exciting Korean cooking competition, "Culinary Class Wars," makes a comeback for another season. This season will feature 80 local cooks, referred to as the "Black Spoon" contestants, going head-to-head with 20 celebrity chefs, known as the "White Spoon" contestants, all vying for culinary recognition and prestige.
Following a successful debut season, viewers can anticipate heightened kitchen tensions, demanding ingredients, enthusiastic food lovers, and rigorous taste assessments in the upcoming episodes. As the show returns, fans are eager for a potential appearance by Napoli Matfia, previously recognized as Kwon Sung-jun, the beloved Black Spoon chef who defied odds to emerge victorious in the inaugural season, securing the 300 million won prize (equivalent to approximately $225,000).
“We’re delighted to announce the production of Culinary Class Wars Season 2, driven by the incredible fan response both in Korea and around the world,” said Yoo Ki-hwan, the director of content at Netflix Korea. “Bringing a show of this scale to life requires immense effort, and we’re deeply grateful for the love and enthusiasm we’ve received so far. As we continue to expand our unscripted offerings, we look forward to bringing even more distinctive and exciting shows to our audience in the near future.”
If you're feeling hungry at the moment, you have the opportunity to revisit (or catch up on) the thrilling chaos of Season 1. All episodes of Culinary Class Wars are now accessible.
