D'Wayne Wiggins, the talented guitarist and founding member of the legendary R&B group Tony! Toni! Toné!, has passed away at the age of 64 after a year-long battle with bladder cancer. The news of his death has deeply saddened the music world, as Wiggins was instrumental in shaping the sound of one of the most influential R&B groups of the late 1980s and 1990s.


Wiggins, born and raised in Oakland, California, was a key figure in the creation of Tony! Toni! Toné!, alongside his brother Raphael Saadiq and close friend Timothy Christian Riley. The group blended elements of R&B, jazz, and gospel, carving out a unique niche that resonated with fans around the world. Their smooth, soulful melodies and insightful lyrics helped to define an era of R&B music, with hits such as "Anniversary," "It Never Rains (In Southern California)," and "Feels Good."





Throughout their career, Tony! Toni! Toné! enjoyed immense success, earning multiple chart-topping singles and Grammy nominations. Wiggins' contributions, particularly his skill as a guitarist, were central to the group's sound.
