Alex and Stephanie are having a meal at the pub when she surprises him with a birthday cupcake, and he’s impressed she remembered. She gifts him arrow-shaped cufflinks as a reminder of his time on the show, and he thanks her with a kiss. She suggests heading to his place since Jada is staying at hers. Alex asks about Jada, and Stephanie admits she’s struggling. Roman interrupts with a call from Will, wanting a birthday video chat. Afterward, Roman warns Alex not to hurt Stephanie again, assuring him she deserves all the love and respect.
Leo stops by the Horton house to talk to Chad about returning to the paper, despite Chad’s doubts after the Lady Whistleblower scandal. Leo pitches his skills and convinces Chad to give him a chance. Chad reminds him of journalistic ethics, but Leo assures him he won’t regret it.
Marlena meets with Cat on her first day, and after discussing the hospital’s financial troubles, they brainstorm a fundraiser. Later, Cat pitches her ideas to Chad over lunch, who listens intently.
Javi tells Gabi about Rafe’s cheating, which she finds hard to believe. They discuss Rafe’s past mistakes, and Gabi plans to get him checked by a doctor, suspecting something might be wrong. She wishes her brother wasn’t dating someone like "the devil."
Shawn comforts Jada when she’s upset over Rafe’s actions, and they bond. She admits to wanting to kiss him the night before but didn’t due to Rafe. They kiss, and things quickly escalate.
