Back at the Kiriakis mansion, Sarah hesitates to tell Xander the truth about Philip’s deception. Xander excitedly shares his promise to Maggie to try getting along with Philip, leaving Sarah conflicted as she hides what she knows.
Elsewhere, Marlena takes comfort in Steve’s reassurance that she and John will find their way back to each other. Meanwhile, Steve calls Shane, saying, “We need to talk.” Stephanie resolves to focus on herself, and she and Kayla head out for a lighthearted evening of ice cream and rom-coms.
