At the DiMera mansion, Brady took a call from Ava, hoping it would bring news of Rachel’s whereabouts after reviewing security footage. However, Kristen overheard and immediately lashed out, furious that Brady was talking to Ava while their daughter was still missing. Brady tried to calm her down, but Kristen was overwhelmed with anxiety, recalling the traumatic time when Sarah had taken Rachel. Brady reassured her that this time was different—Rachel wasn’t taken, she had just run off. Kristen, however, couldn’t shake the fear that she might never see Rachel again. Brady tried to comfort her, telling her Rachel was smart and would be okay, but Kristen remained terrified, worrying about their daughter being alone. He promised they would find her soon and urged Kristen to get some rest. After a long hug, Brady left, promising to return soon.
At the police station, Belle rushed in, asking Shawn if there had been any updates on Rachel. Shawn informed her that there hadn’t been any news yet but that everyone was doing everything they could. Just then, Shawn received a call from JJ, who had spoken to an ambulance dispatcher. A little girl who matched Rachel’s description had been hit by a car and was on her way to the ER. Shawn didn’t want to alarm Brady yet, so he and Belle quickly headed to the hospital. Unfortunately, after checking the ER, Shawn returned with the disappointing news that the little girl was not Rachel. Belle was relieved, and the two shared a quiet moment, thankful that they hadn’t upset Brady with false hope. Shawn promised Belle he would keep her updated, and they parted ways.
Back at home, Tate was consumed with worry about his missing sister. Marlena tried to comfort him, assuring him that everyone was doing their best to find Rachel. Tate confided that he was struggling with his feelings, torn between supporting Sophia and trying to protect Holly. He shared how hard it was to look at the sonogram and know they couldn’t keep the baby they had created. Just then, Holly knocked on the door. She expressed her concern about Rachel’s disappearance, and Tate was grateful for her presence. He explained to Holly that he and Sophia weren’t planning to marry but had chosen adoption for their baby. Holly was supportive, but the tension was clear when Sophia arrived at Tate’s house, distressed over the ongoing crisis. Holly decided to leave so Tate and Sophia could talk.
Meanwhile, at work, Sophia asked Ava for an extra shift, claiming she didn’t need time off because she had already switched her doctor’s appointment. Ava was frustrated by this last-minute change, and the conversation quickly turned to a heated argument about Sophia’s pregnancy. Ava expressed disappointment that Sophia had chosen adoption, and Amy, her mother, joined in with sharp criticism, accusing Sophia of not being ready for motherhood. The conversation became even more tense as Amy insisted that Sophia should face the consequences of her actions, while Sophia argued that choosing adoption was the best decision for her and the baby. Ava tried to mediate, but Amy was firm in her stance, declaring there would be no adoption. The argument left Sophia feeling crushed, and she stormed out, leaving Ava and Amy to discuss their differences.
Later, Marlena sat with Steve at Brady’s pub, updating him on the situation with Rachel. Steve offered his help and mentioned that he had spoken to Shane about contacting John. He explained that Shane had cautioned him that John’s mission was extremely risky, and any contact could jeopardize his safety. Marlena was deeply concerned, both for John’s safety and for Rachel, and she couldn’t help but cry. Steve comforted her, offering a reassuring hug as she struggled with the uncertainty of both situations.
Brady stopped by Ava’s office, clearly emotional. He admitted to her that he was struggling with guilt over Rachel’s disappearance, feeling as though he and Kristen had failed her as parents. Brady also expressed his fear that Rachel had gone to such extreme lengths to get their attention. Kristen, back at the mansion, stared at a photo of Rachel and tearfully asked, “Where did you go?”
Meanwhile, Rachel entered a house that seemed abandoned, its furniture covered with sheets. She took out her stuffed snake, Seymour, and with a smile said, “Well, Seymour, we finally made it.”
