Days of Our Lives Daily Recap 1/28

Writer's picture: AshleyAshley

EJ fumes over the hassle of keeping Rafe imprisoned in the tunnels, but he remains determined to get revenge on Jada. When Johnny walks in, EJ quickly claims he was merely venting about Jada getting him fired. Johnny, however, counters that he’s also in hot water with Paulina. EJ encourages him to keep fighting for Chanel, citing his own history of reconciliations with Sami. Johnny notices the tray of food, prompting EJ to claim it’s for his own room. Before leaving for Rafe’s party—news to an irritated

EJ—Johnny departs, leaving EJ to worry that a drunken Arnold could expose everything.

At Paulina and Abe’s, Chanel lounges on the couch, wallowing, until Paulina insists she join her at Jada’s bachelorette party. Chanel protests, but Paulina doesn’t back down. Resigned, Chanel gets dressed. Meanwhile, Gabi and Stephanie prep Stephanie’s apartment for the party, kicking things off with Jell-O shots. One shot leads to another, setting the tone for the night.

At the police department, Shawn and Jada discuss the involvement of Child Protective Services in Rachel’s case. Shawn prepares to leave for Rafe’s bachelor party, both assuming it won’t be a wild night. Jada expresses her gratitude for Rafe’s loyalty, especially given her past relationships.

Belle arrives to escort Jada to the party, even bringing a dress. As Jada changes, Belle and Shawn share a brief but awkward exchange about their respective parties before Belle hurries off.

Arnold is almost caught browsing less-than-savory content on his laptop when Javi arrives home. Sensing Arnold’s tension, Javi announces he’s throwing him a bachelor party. Fake-Rafe is thrilled but makes a misstep by assuming Javi would enjoy the lap dances—only to be corrected that Javi is gay. Arnold recovers quickly before heading off to shower in preparation for the night.

Back at Stephanie’s, Paulina arrives with booze and a reluctant Chanel, who quickly reassures Stephanie she won’t cause trouble. The drinking escalates, with Chanel going so far as to berate an inflatable lifeguard for being a “cheater” before punching it. Concerned, Paulina tries to rein her in, but the party continues. When a drinking game prompts confessions of regrettable hookups, the women trade stories—many involving EJ. Belle refuses to participate, revealing her own regret was also EJ. Chanel then drunkenly laments her marriage to Johnny, ranting about his past possession by the devil, much to Jada’s bewilderment. When Belle chimes in about her own possession, Stephanie jokingly suggests an exorcism. Instead, they opt for a change of scenery. Paulina attempts to take Chanel home, but she refuses, intent on continuing the night.

At the Brady Pub, Steve and Johnny share a beer while waiting for the bachelor party to start. Johnny seeks advice on his marriage, and Steve reassures him that love can survive mistakes—his own marriage to Kayla being proof.

As guests arrive, Fake-Rafe declares the night “anything goes.” The mood shifts when EJ unexpectedly appears. Suspicious, Steve, Johnny, and Shawn question his presence, but EJ claims he’s simply making amends with Rafe and toasting to him. In reality, he’s there for an update on Sloan. Tension rises when Steve confronts Fake-Rafe about taking a case without consulting him. When Fake-Rafe dismisses the concern, Steve pushes back, prompting a brief but heated standoff before Javi and Shawn intervene. Johnny urges EJ to leave, which Arnold supports. Alone, Arnold complains about his ruined night, but EJ reminds him to stay focused—his sole purpose is to help EJ take down Jada. Their argument is cut short when the group reemerges with food, and Javi apologizes for the lack of entertainment. Just then, a female cop arrives, declaring playtime over. Shawn attempts to smooth things over, but the situation takes an unexpected turn when the “cop” begins stripping. Fake-Rafe eagerly plays along—until the women arrive.

Jada catches Fake-Rafe mid-lap dance and, rather than reacting with anger, playfully encourages him to finish. Instead, he shifts gears, claiming he’d rather have a lap dance from her. Meanwhile, tensions rise as Gabi confronts EJ, Shawn questions Belle about the party, and Johnny awkwardly faces Chanel. Wasting no time, Chanel removes her sunglasses, tells Johnny off, downs a beer, and smashes the bottle on the ground. Paulina tries to intervene, but Shawn—being the only sober one—steps in, understanding what Chanel is going through.

As the night winds down, Jada and Rafe share a dance, but she decides to leave early to avoid being hungover before the wedding. Rafe reveals he booked a room at the Inn to keep with tradition, which mildly disappoints her but ultimately endears her to his old-fashioned ways. Meanwhile, EJ closely watches Arnold’s every move.

A very drunk Stephanie arrives home with Steve, who gently checks in on her feelings about Philip. Defeated after multiple failed relationships, she doubts her romantic future. Steve reassures her that she’ll find the right person, promising that one day, he’ll walk her down the aisle. They share a heartfelt hug.

EJ escorts Belle home (via his driver) and insists on walking her to her door, despite her protests that she’s only had “six… maybe seven” Jell-O shots. Their conversation quickly turns into playful bickering about past grievances—until it escalates into a heated kiss.

Meanwhile, at Small Bar, Chanel drowns her sorrows in more drinks. When Shawn arrives, she dances seductively around him before impulsively kissing him.

Back at Javi and Gabi’s, a tipsy Jada happily reflects on her future with Rafe before heading to bed. Elsewhere, Arnold, alone in his hotel room, answers a knock at the door—revealing the stripper from earlier. Pleased that she took his number, he pulls her in for a kiss before she shoves him onto the bed.
