Days of Our Lives Daily Recap 10/28/24

These Are Our Lives opens with brothers Brady and Eric discussing the hit-and-run. Brady wrestles with regret, wondering how he could have ever trusted Fiona, whom he barely knew. Then we shift to Sarah and Fiona: Sarah is shocked to see Fiona out drinking and enjoying herself instead of facing consequences. Fiona explains that the DA has decided to drop the charges. Sarah is stunned.

Back at the Kiriakis household, Philip makes a dramatic return to prevent Xander from selling Titan. Philip insists that if Victor had wanted Xander involved, he would have included him in the will. Philip then reveals a letter that may change everything.

Returning to Fiona and Sarah, Fiona claims the charges were dropped due to conflicting witness statements. Sarah is baffled because Fiona had initially implicated Brady to protect her husband, Xander. Sarah is frustrated, realizing Fiona might escape justice. Meanwhile, Brady thanks Eric for helping him discover that he wasn’t the one driving the car that hit Sarah; it was Fiona. Although Brady feels guilty about drinking that night, Eric remains supportive.

Kristen, however, holds the key to Sarah’s recovery. In a twist, she says that Sarah won’t receive the second dose of the serum needed to walk again unless Xander hands over Titan. Yet Titan is under an injunction since Philip doesn’t want to sell. Philip even shares a letter proving that Victor would have included him in the will if he could have ensured Philip’s safety from prosecution for faking his death and framing Brady. Xander pleads with Philip for the sake of Sarah’s health, but Philip firmly refuses.

As Brady contemplates Kristen’s motives, Kristen herself arrives. Sarah, meanwhile, is still baffled by Fiona’s freedom, considering that Fiona confessed to multiple people. Fiona smugly explains that since she didn’t confess to the Salem PD, she’s in the clear. Fiona’s character might be deplorable, but characters like her keep things interesting.

Eric prepares to return to Paris, and Brady thanks him for helping clear his name. Alone now, Brady and Kristen are left to discuss her plans. Sarah, still reeling, confronts Fiona. Fiona admits she still wants a relationship with Xander and their daughter, Victoria, but acknowledges that she always sabotages herself, often by drinking.

Xander, desperate, tries to convince Philip of the serum’s importance for Sarah. Philip, however, argues that it’s naive to trade a multi-billion-dollar company for an unproven cure and is skeptical of his mother’s change of heart. Tensions flare, and Xander is on the verge of fighting Philip when Justin steps in to de-escalate the situation. Philip insists he’s acting in honor of his father’s memory.

Kristen explains that Dr. Rolf is still perfecting the serum and that she’ll deliver it—if she gains control of Titan. Meanwhile, Sarah gives Xander a farewell letter from Fiona, who’s leaving Salem. Fiona expresses her hope for forgiveness, admitting she tried to change for Xander and Victoria. Heartbroken, Xander throws the letter away, angry that Fiona might escape accountability.

Philip then enters a hotel room to meet Vivian. When she asks about his conversation with Xander, he shares that it didn’t go well. Vivian reassures him that they’ll still gain control of Titan.

Elsewhere, we see Gabriella catching up with her cousin Javi, who’s just arrived on the scene since the death of his mother. She confides in him about her struggle to end her marriage to Stefan and her lingering feelings. Javi encourages her to fight for her husband. However, they’re interrupted by the arrival of divorce papers, signed by Stefan—or so it seems. Unbeknownst to Gabriella, Stefan never signed them; Vivian did and has kidnapped him. She believes she must stop him from going back to Gabi. Stefan was prepared to fight for Gabriella, but his mother’s interference has thrown everything into disarray.
