At the Horton home, JJ storms in to confront Chad about dropping the charges against Cat, accusing her of damaging their family. Chad explains he needs Cat’s help to retrieve Abigail’s remains from Clyde Weston, though JJ remains skeptical and unwilling to keep the plan a secret.
At the Brady Pub, Rafe congratulates Jada on being appointed commissioner, though he struggles with his demotion. Roman senses his frustration and suggests Rafe sue the city, but Rafe hesitates, worrying about how it might affect his relationship with Jada. Later, Jada is candid with Gabi, admitting she’s excited about the role but doesn’t want it to create tension between her and Rafe. Gabi encourages honesty, pointing out that Jada needs to acknowledge her own ambitions.
Back at the Black penthouse, Tate and Sophia grow closer, though she worries he might still have feelings for Holly. As they get intimate, Tate inadvertently calls her by Holly’s name, indicating unresolved emotions.
In closing scenes, Jada and Rafe confront their feelings about her new position, with Rafe revealing he plans to quit the force. Aaron is stunned when Holly confides that Tate and Sophia are together, even though she wishes things were different.
