Days of Our Lives begins at the DiMera mansion, where EJ finishes a phone call with his mother and opens the door to find Gabi. Rafe asks Javi to pick up a few things for dinner, and on his way, Javi runs into Leo. Meanwhile, Chanel visits Paulina and discusses how sick Abe and Johnny were. Paulina confronts Chanel about Johnny, still holding a grudge over him calling Chanel a slut when he wrongly believed she was cheating. Chanel defends Johnny, saying they’re working things out and asks Paulina to stay out of it.
At Horton Town Square, Joy is on the phone with her mother when she runs into Johnny. He realizes Chanel told Joy he was sick. Joy mentions Johnny saying her name in his sleep and admits she told someone about their one-night tryst—Alex.
Elsewhere, Leo continues apologizing to Javi, but Javi isn’t ready to forgive him. Leo insists there was a genuine connection, but Javi shuts him down again.
Chanel tells Paulina she loves Johnny and doesn’t want to waste time being angry, acknowledging they’ve all made mistakes.
Johnny confronts Joy for telling Alex about their night together. He wanted to be honest, but she begged him to keep it a secret to protect her reputation. Outside Brady’s Pub, Alex vents to Leo about needing air after Stephanie and Philip reminisced about their past engagement. Leo laments his recent mistakes and fears he’s ruined his career.
Back at the Hernandez home, Javi tells Rafe he’s still upset with Leo. Meanwhile, Gabi tries to retrieve her belongings from the DiMera mansion but finds EJ changed the locks. EJ insists she apologize for slapping him, blaming her for ruining his marriage to Nicole. Gabi counters that EJ owes her an apology. Chanel and Paulina discuss holiday plans before Chanel leaves.
Leo admits to Alex that he wrongly accused Javi and worries about the fallout. Alex advises him to find the real “Lady Whistleblower” and put an end to the rumors.
At Rafe’s, Jada comes home and expresses hope that work won’t interfere with their holiday plans. Rafe surprises her by announcing he accepted a position with Black Patch Private Investigators to work with Steve.
At the square, Johnny and Joy’s conversation grows tense as Joy defends telling Alex. Chanel overhears and invites Joy to join their Thanksgiving dinner, despite Joy and Johnny’s protests. Gabi and EJ continue bickering at the mansion, while the Hernandez family prepares for dinner. Unexpectedly, Leo arrives at their door.
At the DiMera mansion, EJ confronts Joy, warning her to leave Salem. He offers to pay her and promises to handle her job with his legal expertise. Joy resists, but EJ is persistent.
Meanwhile, Leo asks Rafe to take him on as a client, requesting help to uncover Lady Whistleblower.
Back at the house, Chanel and Johnny’s return interrupts an awkward moment between Joy and EJ. While EJ covers, he privately warns Joy again to leave Salem.
