At the Kiriakis Mansion:
Holly and Tate work on class assignments, expecting Aaron to join them, but Tate shares that Aaron is dealing with family issues. After calling him unsuccessfully, Holly and Tate finish their work and plan a date. At Horton Town Square, they run into Aaron, who shares that he recently learned his mother is alive. Aaron declines their invitation to ice skate, explaining he needs to shop for gifts for Felicity. Holly and Tate offer to help, and the group discusses their holiday traditions, including Christmas, Hanukkah, and Greek Orthodox customs. Aaron opens up about his struggles, and they comfort him, reaffirming their friendship. Afterward, Holly and Tate enjoy their date. Meanwhile, Cat informs Aaron about their mother’s escape and her efforts to locate her and get legal help.
In Canada:
Cat tries to warn Chad that her mother has escaped and is heading to Clyde’s apartment. She later discovers her mother’s purse with an address and resolves to find them.
At Clyde’s Apartment:
Clyde is held at gunpoint by Chad, JJ, and Gabi as Chad demands the location of Abigail’s remains. Before Clyde can answer, Cat’s mother shoots him. Furious, Chad tries to save Clyde’s life to get answers. Cat arrives and reveals her mother tricked her. JJ and Gabi search for clues about Abigail’s remains but find nothing before leaving for the hospital.
At the Hospital:
Chad acts as Clyde son to get information on his heath status, and Cat’s mother arrives in handcuffs. She apologizes to Cat and expresses love for her children before being taken away by police. Cat reflects on Chad’s turmoil and wishes him clarity and peace. JJ and Gabi join Chad at the hospital, where they’re informed Clyde is in a coma.
At the Johnson Home:
Steve reassures Jack over the phone about Chad and JJ’s safety. Kayla returns home, and they discuss how Christmas will feel different with their scattered family. After wrapping gifts and picking out a tree, they reminisce about past holidays. Steve receives a call from JJ, who updates him about Cat’s mother and confirms everyone is safe.
