At the Trial:
Belle pushes Sarah to confirm if Xander tried to kill Brady, prompting Justin to object. After a recess, the judge allows the questioning, but Sarah invokes spousal privilege to avoid testifying. With no other witnesses, the court recesses again. Sarah and Xander discuss their chances, while Justin warns Xander to control himself. Xander jokes about Philip’s mental health, but Justin reminds him the outcome could go either way.
When the court reconvenes, the judge rules that Xander and Philip will each get 50% of Titan, making them co-CEOs. Philip notes it’s not ideal but believes their father would be happy they’re working together. The two trade jabs before Philip suggests they set aside their differences. Xander declines and leaves. Justin and Belle wonder how long the two can work together given their volatile relationship.
At the Body & Soul Offices:
Johnny congratulates Alex on his performance but brings up the lie about Alex sleeping with Joy, which Chanel overheard. Stephanie arrives, and Alex clarifies that it’s not true—he isn’t sleeping with Joy. Johnny admits it was a one-time mistake, but Alex wants to move past it. Stephanie advises informing the producers to avoid surprises and reassures Alex it won’t affect their friendship.
Later, Chanel tells Johnny about her talk with Joy, who had considered ending their friendship. Chanel feels Joy needs their bond and is glad she talked her out of it.
Outside the Brady Pub:
Chanel confronts Joy, saying she knows about her and Alex. Joy confirms it was a one-time mistake and explains she wants to step back from her friendship with Chanel and Johnny because mixing work and personal life feels messy. Chanel reassures her that she values their friendship, and Joy agrees to remain friends.
At Horton Town Square:
Belle and Philip discuss the case. Philip thanks Belle for stepping in as his lawyer and admits he believes Titan is rightfully his, as Victor groomed him for the role. Belle agrees, mentioning she doesn’t trust Xander running Titan because of his history with her family. When Belle gets a text about the court’s decision, they head back, with Philip vowing to fight Xander if necessary.
At the Kiriakis Mansion:
Sarah encourages Xander to focus on the fact that he still has part of the company, believing he’ll make the best of the situation. Alone, Xander vows to get Philip out of Titan.
Elsewhere:
Joy asks Stephanie for help picking out a gift for Alex, clarifying that she and Alex are not in a relationship. Stephanie suspects Joy’s feelings may be more complicated, especially as Joy worries about Stephanie’s opinion.
