Days of Our Lives Daily Recap 12/27

At the DiMera Mansion

EJ encounters Arnold, Rafe’s double, enjoying himself, much to EJ’s chagrin. Furious, EJ demands Arnold leave, but Arnold brushes him off, pointing out that Johnny is gone and EJ would face trouble, not him. EJ reminds Arnold that he is still wanted for criminal charges and accuses him of impersonating Rafe to assault Sami. Arnold counters by mentioning he could testify against EJ, claiming that while Stefano orchestrated the scheme, the blame now falls on EJ.

EJ offers money to make Arnold leave, but Arnold refuses, insisting he’s staying put. Annoyed, EJ hears a knock at the door and warns Arnold to stay hidden. When EJ opens the door, the real Rafe is standing there.

At the Hernandez Household

Rafe and Jada spend time together discussing their upcoming wedding. Jada suggests they marry on Rafe’s birthday so they’ll always remember their anniversary, and Rafe agrees. After Jada leaves, Paulina stops by to talk to Rafe. She asks him to step aside at the Salem PD to ensure Jada’s success.

Paulina brings up the Hattie Adams case, pointing out that Rafe’s involvement prevented Jada from questioning Hattie. She then offers him the position of “Rat Czar,” a job focused on reducing the rodent population. Rafe sees through Paulina’s attempt to sideline him and declines, escorting her out of his home.

In Leo’s Hotel Room

Leo reads Lady Whistleblower’s latest post, mocking him for his failed attempts to uncover her identity. There’s a knock at the door—it’s Doug III, who asks for updates about the missing necklace. Leo reveals he might have found someone who can help, but Doug feels guilty.

Leo suggests it’s not too late to return the necklace, but Doug insists he can’t because he owes money. Leo reassures him that the family thinks the necklace is gone and suggests they both move on.

At the Black Household

Tate meets with Sophia to take her to the clinic, but Holly unexpectedly arrives. Tate tells Sophia to hide, as Holly can’t know what’s happening. Holly stops by to give Tate desserts and says she’ll leave so he doesn’t miss his flight. They talk about missing each other, and Sophia overhears them say “I love you.”

After Holly leaves, Sophia is visibly hurt. She confronts Tate about his relationship with Holly, noting she didn’t realize they were so serious. Sophia expresses frustration that Holly gets “I love you” while she faces an abortion. Tate apologizes and asks her to avoid talking about Holly.

They discuss their cover story for family and friends while traveling out of state for the procedure. Tate asks if Sophia is okay with their decision, and she insists it’s what they must do since he doesn’t want a baby. As they leave, they open the door to find Holly standing there.

At Salem PD

Belle visits Jada to discuss EJ’s legal tactics. Jada vents about how EJ continually undermines her work by keeping criminals out of jail, making her look bad. She surprises Belle by suggesting they work together, stating that Belle’s courtroom performance has been impressive and that Paulina would likely approve.

Belle is hesitant, citing her history with EJ and the potential conflict of working closely with Shawn given their divorce. She also mentions uncertainty about how long she’ll stay in Salem. Jada asks Belle to think it over and suggests Paulina might be open to a part-time arrangement. After Belle leaves, Jada discusses her frustrations with Paulina and pushes for EJ’s removal.

At Horton Town Square

Holly finishes a phone call when she sees Doug and learns Tate can’t use his concert tickets. Doug suggests they go together, but Holly hesitates. Doug proposes she tell her boyfriend first to avoid any awkwardness. Holly calls Tate but gets no answer, so she decides to text Doug after confirming with Tate.

Leo and Doug Meet Again

Leo reveals he has sold the necklace but warns Doug it wasn’t worth as much as they’d hoped. Doug is disappointed, realizing it won’t be enough to cover his debts.
