Kristen (Stacy Haiduk) was shocked to learn after thirty years of thinking her mother was dead that Rachel Blake (Roslyn Gentle) had been living nearby in Aremid all along. Despite wanting to keep her existence a secret to avoid burdening her family, Rachel’s appearance prompted Kristen to reconnect.
Rachel convinced Kristen to keep Ava (Tamara Braun) hostage, fearing the police might learn that Rachel was involved in the kidnapping. Kristen reluctantly agreed, convincing herself it was for her daughter’s sake, though guilt began to eat at her.
Meanwhile, Jada (Elia Cantu) was reeling from the news that Rafe (Galen Gering) had been reinstated as police commissioner, taking the job she had hoped for after he left her at the altar. As Jada struggled to comprehend Rafe’s actions, Shawn (Brandon Beemer) started wondering if Rafe’s coma might have changed him. He suggested this could be the beginning of their investigation into what really happened to Rafe.
EJ (Daniel Feuerriegel), aware that Jada was getting too close to discovering his secrets, took drastic action. After Jada nearly caught him in the tunnels where Rafe was being held, EJ injected Rafe with a sedative, knocked him out, and transported him in a body bag to Aremid. There, Rafe will likely encounter the mysterious Woman in White.
