Today's Days of Our Lives had plenty of twists, as the plot thickens with mysterious deaths and shocking decisions.
The episode opens with Hattie dropping by Bonnie’s hospital room with a box of bonbons, but she’s stunned to find Bonnie in such a bad state. Bonnie weakly mutters that Kayla will be stepping in while she recovers. Hattie takes a look at a Body and Soul script, noticing it's mainly focused on Kassandra and Charlamagne.
Meanwhile, Steve and Kayla return home still discussing the wedding, only to find an envelope containing the Body and Soul script. Kayla is visibly upset, realizing that her first script features only scenes with Hattie. She asks Steve to help her run through the lines, while Hattie and Bonnie do the same at the hospital. As the scenes unfold, both Kayla and Hattie are surprised to see that Charlamagne dies shortly after his return. To add to the mystery, Kassandra dies as well, prompting confusion all around. The suspense heightens when Hattie tries to call Leo to yell at him, but he doesn't pick up, so she decides to confront him directly.
At the Body and Soul office, Kate and Abe are reviewing scripts when Kate voices concerns about the complications Alex and Joy’s relationship could cause. Just as they’re talking, Stephanie bursts in to give them an update on Jada's wedding fallout. She announces she’s quitting the show to focus on being with Alex, even though he's still involved with Joy. Stephanie's decision catches them off guard, but she stands firm, insisting she’d rather be with Alex than stay at the show.
Meanwhile, Joy and Alex share an intimate moment, with Joy commenting on how much smoother work has been without Chanel’s judgment. They, too, receive their copy of the Body and Soul script, and Joy is shocked to find that Raven dies during childbirth. Alex is initially skeptical about the script, but when he checks, he discovers that even Arrow dies—his own photo crossed out. They both realize that the episode is meant for April 1st, suspecting it could be an April Fool’s joke. While Alex tries to reassure Joy, suggesting they take a Valentine’s trip to New York, he hesitates when she brings up meeting her parents. After a brief moment of doubt, Alex assures her they’re fine, though he later makes a quick exit when he receives a text from Stephanie.
Over at the DiMera mansion, Johnny is on the phone with Seth, talking about how much he misses “Faith.” Just then, Chanel arrives with an envelope left at the front door. After a heartfelt conversation, Johnny promises to be a better communicator and not doubt her again. They both express their love, and Johnny asks her to come home. Chanel agrees, and they’re thrilled to start fresh, though they decide to take it one day at a time. As they settle in, Johnny checks the script and is stunned to see that Leo killed off Seth’s character.
At the same time, Alex heads over to Stephanie’s place, where she reveals she’s quit Body and Soul. While he’s shocked, Stephanie assures him she followed her heart, even if it means letting go of her role on the show. Still, Alex struggles with his feelings for Joy and decides it’s time to end things, wanting to be with Stephanie instead.
Back at the office, Kate and Abe share their frustrations over Stephanie’s resignation, but Abe encourages her to rest while he continues working. Kayla, feeling guilty about Kassandra’s death, calls Abe for reassurance, only to wonder if she might be responsible for a bizarre accident involving a cat. Abe, bewildered, dismisses her worries, suggesting it’s Leo going rogue.
Things take a dark turn when Hattie storms into Leo’s room to accuse him of orchestrating the killings in the script. Leo, wearing gloves, denies any involvement, but as Hattie leaves, it’s clear the stalker is making their presence known. Hattie suddenly feels unwell and collapses on Leo's bed. Meanwhile, Joy experiences a similar fate at home, her vision blurring before she falls unconscious. Back at Stephanie's, Alex reassures her that he wants to be with her, but as they share a kiss, the situation becomes more complicated when Kayla, at home with Steve, suddenly passes out too. Johnny, also feeling dizzy, collapses as well.
The episode concludes with a shocking revelation. Abe, finally putting the pieces together, realizes the identity of the person behind the chaos. As the stalker picks up the last untouched photo—Abe’s—it's clear that the mystery has only just begun.
