This episode is setting a foundation for some excitement with Anna congratulating Dex in his hospital room after surgery. He set a department record for being wounded in the line of duty less than six months as a police officer. Next, Curtis meets with Jordan on city business. He’s taking the reins of power as Aurora CEO; Impressive! Out in the park, Martin calls his brother Cyrus, and someone walks up behind him. Nina and Maxie meet in her office. Nina tells her about Lulu’s meltdown the day before. Maxie defends Lulu and will talk to her when she finally sees her. In Carly’s office, Lulu takes no nonsense from Jack and demands he contact Valentin.
In Dex’s hospital room, Anna assures Dex he and Officer Jackson did everything by the book. She needs his statement. A groggy Dex gives his account of what happened. Anna asked if he saw or heard anything when he was stabbed. He heard the sounds of the Christmas Fair. He asks if he was targeted because he’s a cop. Joss bursts in and asks Dex if he’s okay. Anna leaves as Dex jokes with Joss. She gives him a kiss. At Nina’s, Nina tells Maxie she had a similar situation as Lulu. She searched for her child, too. She asks Maxie to help Lulu understand that she doesn’t know where Valentin and Charlotte are. Drew rushes in as Maxie leaves. He says he’s making Michael the Aurora CEO. She asks about Curtis. Jordan asks Curtis if Drew is keeping him as Aurora CEO. He said Drew’s keeping Michael as the CEO. Curtis tells Jordan he talked to Drew and that he lied to him. He confirms he’s going to team up with Michael, but on his terms. The person who walked up behind Martin was Jason. He took him to the Corinthos Coffee warehouse. But doesn’t tell him why, yet. Martin states he’s technically being kidnapped. Back in Carly’s office, Jack’s burner phone continues to ring with no pickup from Valentin. Lulu takes the phone and doesn’t believe Jack called Valentin. J
ack says Valentin contacted him. Lulu angrily threatens to burn the WSB to the ground to find her daughter, Charlotte, slamming his phone on Carly’s desk. Jack leaves, and Carly says Lulu made a mistake. She believes Jack. In the Aurora office, Curtis confirms he’s working with Michael, and Drew’s priorities aren’t in Aurora’s best interests. He asks Jordan to delay the esplanade project. Michael’s okay with that. She agrees. Curtis thanks her and knows he can count on her. Portia walking up, asks if she’s interrupting, clearly intrigued. Back in Dex’s hospital room, Joss chastises him for getting hurt again. They reminisce. She asks how he’s really feeling. In walks Isaiah, before Dex answers. He’s there to discuss his surgery and says Dex is lucky that the knife missed any vital arteries.
He will be fine. Back at Carly’s, Carly tells Lulu that Jack is being honest about Valentin. She asks Lulu not to go after the WSB single-handed. Lulu shares all the new changes happening since she woke from the coma. She mentions Spencer being dead, Charlotte missing, and Cyrus as a new relative. That last was creepy. Carly says Jack won’t trust them or help if Lulu continues to call him a liar to his face. She also confirms Nina has no idea where Valentin is. Carly tells Lulu about Bobbie passing. In Jack’s office, Jack talks with Collette. She thought they could use the bug. Jack disagrees, and initializes a new phone, replacing the one Lulu damaged. Collette suggested they feed Anna, Carly and the rest false info to lead them away from Valentin. Jack wants them to find him. At the warehouse, Anna and Spinelli discuss his help in finding Charlotte. She asks him to stay out of the trickery with Martin and walks in Jason’s office where an irritated Martin is. She asks Jason why he’s not restrained.
Isaiah tells Dex he should have a full recovery. Joss asks about internal bleeding risks, and he assures them there is no risk. Dex thanks him. Dex tells Joss what happened. She suggests Sonny might be responsible for this. Joss fabricates scenarios that involve Sonny. Dex tells her it couldn’t be him. She still worries. Back at Aurora, Curtis cheek kisses Portia and tells her about his meeting with Jordan. Jordan leaves to see Dex after receiving an update on his condition. Curtis tells Portia he’s taking Aurora from Drew. In Nina’s office, Drew tells Nina that Curtis can still lead the Wellness Division at Aurora. Nina fights for Curtis. At Carly’s office, Lulu expresses sadness about Bobbie. Carly reaffirms that Spencers don’t give up on each other. Maxie walks in and bear hugs her friend while asking why she hasn’t called her.
Jack tells Collette they will rely on outsiders to find Valentin. She disagrees and says he is overstepping and should have let Valentin take the fall for Pikeman. In the warehouse, Anna and Jason tell Martin he’s going to help them find Valentin. In Aurora, Portia discusses Curtis’ move to be the CEO. She doubts they can trust Michael. Curtis knows he can work with Michael. Portia asks if Jordan is helping with the Aurora CEO takeover. Jordan gets to GH and sees Isaiah. He tells her about Dex’s condition. He confirms he signed his contract, and she officially welcomes him to Port Charles. Back at Carly’s office, the best friends catch up on things. Carly listens in the background. Lulu thanks her for everything, and Carly leaves. Maxie assures her they will find Charlotte. At Jack’s, Jack and Collette argue about how Jack is handling the Valentin situation. Jack realizes that Charlotte may be a way to find them. Back in the warehouse, Martin says he has no idea where Valentin is. Anna says it’s hard to believe Martin would not be able to contact a high value client like Valentin. Back at Nina’s office, Nina and Drew converse about Willow and Drew. He squirms out of responsibility for Curtis, and what he has done to Michael’s marriage.
He asks Nina to tell Curtis about the CEO issue. At Aurora office, Curtis asks for Portia’s support. He wants her by his side. At Deception, Maxie tells Lulu more about what’s happening in the present. She tells about her love for Spinelli. Lulu says she felt that way about Dante. Lulu is sad Sam had passed. She believes she’s to blame about that. In the warehouse, Martin asks Jason to look at his phone and find his Valentin contacts. He threatens Anna with the legality of what they are doing to him. Anna says her priority is finding Charlotte. Martin asks what will happen if they can’t find anything. Back at Jack’s, Collette and Jack review intel on Charlotte to trace any social media accounts and online activity involving her hobbies, French knowledge.
Collette warns him about Carly, too. As Jason and Spinelli copy all of Martin’s Valentin contacts and accounts, Carly comes in and tells them Jack found the bug. Jason tells her to leave. At the hospital, Dex assures Joss he’s fine. He tries to cheer her up, makes plans for them to go away. She kisses him. Jordan and Isaiah open the door and see that. They decide to give them some privacy. Jordan and Isaiah go to the Christmas Fair .At Nina’s, Drew tries to manipulate Nina into helping him tell Curtis he won’t be the CEO of Aurora. Meanwhile in the Aurora office, Portia thanks Curtis for confiding in her, and will support him. Curtis is adamant about his Aurora CEO plans. Back at the warehouse, Anna intimidates Martin. He challenges her. At Jack’s office, he and Collette work to find out if Charlotte goes online, so they can find her. At Deception, Maxie tells Lulu that Spinelli is looking for Charlotte. In the warehouse, Carly is battling Jason. She defends Jack, and Jason warns her about him. Spinelli finds a Swiss Bank withdrawal transaction. Valentin’s in Zurich.
