This episode promises to be eventful and begins with Molly and TJ outside the courtroom. Seeing TJ outside, Alexis goes inside to check on Kristina, while Molly immediately gravitates to him. Making small talk, there is a shared smile and their ever-present spark. Maybe there’s hope for them. Sonny and Kristina walk into the courtroom, ready for what may come. At GH, Liz and Lucas converse sharing information about Lulu. Lucas asks if Lucky is staying, Liz is uncertain. He may stay to help her. Oh, Brad is back and talks about his ‘Lucas feels’ with Stella in the breakroom. Trina and Kai are Back, Too! Both meet in the Jerome Gallery and look Great! Trina is truly appreciative of the work Kai is doing with their project. Kai may upset their project completion goal, and he does. Trina’s disappointed. Lois is struck by the makeup artist’s perception of her, as she prepares for her Deception promo on Home and Heart. Brook Lynn arrives and notices something’s wrong. Lois goes to talk to Haven. On the sidelines, Maxie and Brook Lynn discuss Deception finance issues due to reduced sales.
In the courtroom, Alexis pulls her daughters together and lets them know they stay together, no matter what. Ava gives Sonny a look, feels the burning return. Rick arrives and tells her to focus on the jury. The judge enters the courtroom and asks the jury if they’ve reached a verdict. They confirm, and the defendant is asked to rise. Ava and Rick rise. Back in the breakroom, Stella shares her wisdom with Brad. She cheers him up and speaks the TRUTH to him. She tells him to be himself, do better and says if he does that there’s hope for him. Out at the nurse’s station, Lucas and Liz converse about her possibly being responsible for Sam’s death. Portia interrupts and asks to speak to Lucas privately. At the gallery, Kai pleads his case with Trina and says they can request a class extension. He’s being pulled away for football stuff but is unsure when he’ll return to their project. Trina needs specifics. She sees his priority is not hers. The class is MONUMENTAL to her future, and football means LOTS to his. They part ways.
Returning to the courtroom, the jury reads the verdict. Ava is NOT GUILTY! The faces of Kristina, Alexis, Molly, TJ shout their disappointment and disbelief. A smiling Ava Thanks Rick and gives him a heartfelt hug! TJ runs from the courtroom with Molly trying to catch him. Kristina goes catatonic in the courtroom. Sonny and Alexis try to get her to respond. Lucas returns to tell Liz his good news. He’s going to represent GH at a prestigious Miami Symposium. Liz gives him a congratulatory hug. Brad overhears them. At the Home and Heart studio, Lois and Haven promote Deception products. They get a call from an excited customer, her friend Frannie. She calls out Lois’ fake accent. Lois is shocked. In the courtroom, Kristina finally realizes everything’s over and there is no more legal recourse. Outside, Molly apologizes to TJ. He asks her why and asks what she felt about the verdict. He walks off, after telling her she got what she wanted. Kristina heard that and asked her sister what it meant.
At GH, Brad googles Lucas’ symposium. Portia walks by, and he hands her test results as a pretense to her into letting him attend the Miami Symposium. Portia denies it, but listening to the interaction, Stella cautions Portia on her decision.
At the gallery, Trina tells Kai why the Art History class means so much to her. Kai’s passion for football is the same as hers Love of Art. Trina rushes out. Team Trina or Team Kai?
In the courtroom, Ava tells Sonny she’s coming get her daughter, Avery. The two lawyers flank these two adversaries and counsel them. Alexis warns Sonny, and Rick just instigates by stating he’ll file an emergency order to immediately remove Avery. Alexis tells him to stop and leave. Ava tells Alexis she wants to get Avery away from Sonny before she turns out like Kristina. Out in the hall, Molly tells Kristina she wants to make peace. Kristina still has a distorted view of the tragic accident and refuses. In the lab, Brad has problems following Stella’s guidance. In GH, Portia and Stella discuss Brad and his past crimes. Stella defends him. Stella points out Portia’s impartiality issues for her staff and is not wrong for now. Lucas is surprised to see TJ, when he enters the GH breakroom. TJ says little about the court case and tells him about his breakup with Molly. TJ releases his frustrations. Lucas tells him working won’t help. Lois thanks her friend, Frannie, for helping her get back to herself! She is REALLY selling Deception Products NOW! Their NUMBERS skyrocketed and surpassed their target!
In the courtroom, Alexis unsuccessfully tries to belittle Ava and Rick. Rick and Sonny faceoff! Ava begs Sonny to think of her daughter’s wellbeing. Outside in the hall, Molly and Kristina discuss the truth about the accident that led to Baby Irene’s death.
Molly apologizes to her. Molly can’t contend with Kristina’s insanity anymore. They continue arguing. At Home and Hearth, Lois reviews the sales and proudly lets the makeup artist know how WRONG she was. The REAL Lois with her own accent is Preferred! Portia lets Brad go to the symposium. TJ and Lucas discuss ways to release his anger. In the gallery, a despondent Trina calls Ava again about the jury’s verdict. In the courtroom, Sonny lets Ava come by to see Avery. In the hall, Kristina goes Dark and tells Molly she was never Adela’s Mother. Molly says she is through with her sister and leaves. Alexis runs after her.
