Carly and Brennan toast each other, and kiss in her kitchen. Joss calls Hunter to help her find someone to cover for her shift at Bobbie’s. Emma and Gio come in for coffee, a latte, and conversation. Dante and Chase meet outside Bobbie’s and Chase tells Dante how his Valentine’s Day with Brook Lynn went. Lulu called Brook Lynn about an emergency at Deception. Lulu’s on the phone at Deception unsuccessfully helping a customer, when Brook Lynn walks into the office. She takes the phone from Lulu. Brad and Lucas sit at the Savoy bar chatting. Portia and Curtis talk. She tells him it was so nice what he did for Chase and Brook Lynn. She loves Curtis’ romantic side, and they kiss. Just at that moment, Willow and Drew enter the Savoy. Cyrus asks Liz if they can talk, at her home. She says she’d rather talk with him tomorrow but he barges in anyway, expressing he has an urgent matter to discuss.
Cyrus tells Liz he can’t wait. Liz is uneasy and wants to make it quick. Cyrus apologizes for making her uncomfortable. He’s acting strangely and says he expected her to be excited to see him. He knows she’s been asking about him, and is happy to answer her questions directly. Emma asks Joss to help her with her SAAC Organization. Joss likes the idea, but runs off to take care of a customer. Gio tells Emma to talk fast, get to the point and give Joss a chance when she returns. Joss returns and Emma tells her that Kai is supporting her org, too. Emma wants her help to make the benefit a success. She needs Joss to help her by being an underwriter for the org. Joss says she's too busy, and can’t help, but will donate, and get her family to donate, too. Joss rushes out of Bobbie’s and goes to Cyrus’ cabin. Brook Lynn talks to the customer and calms them down about a payment issue. Brook Lynn asks Lulu why she took the call since it wasn’t a marketing call. She chastises Lulu for ruining her Valentine’s Day. Lulu apologizes. Brook Lynn asks her why she treated the customer so badly. They need Mr. Olafson’s rare precious mineral, zincite, a key ingredient for their new night cream. Dante and Chase sit and talk in Bobbie’s. Dante’s happy Chase got to sing again.
Chase tells him how he surprised Brook Lynn. He felt he had to do something spectacular to make up to Brook Lynn. Dante’s not sure what he means, and asks why. Chase tells him he is sterile. Portia and Curtis watch in disbelief as Drew takes his nephew’s wife out on a Valentine’s Day date. Curtis feels disrespected and angry. Portia calms Curtis and prevents him from getting in a fight with Drew.Drew and Willow toast each other. Willow wonders why Lucas and Brad are talking together. Both she and Drew are being judgy. Brad’s getting the stink eye from Willow. He starts gossiping about them, but Lucas refuses to pass judgement. Lucas notices Willow doesn’t appear that happy. Brad can relate, and shares how he felt. He surmises Willow is having similar feelings.
Liz doesn’t deny that she’s been asking questions about Cyrus. He’s curious about what she discovered. She tries to get rid of him, but he won’t leave. She starts the conversation by asking why he tried to kill Lulu. Brennan and Carly share more kisses in the kitchen, but are interrupted by Donna calling for her Mom. Carly leaves to check on the girls. Carly brings Donna down to see Brennan. She had a bad dream. Brennan tells her why people have bad dreams. Donna is calmed and Carly takes her back to bed. Brennan gets an alert on his cell. Brennan has to leave because of work. He gets another kiss and a cookie as he leaves.
Curtis tells N’neka that Drew is not welcome at the Savoy, and to not serve him. Also, don’t take his reservations. She asks if she needs to ask Drew to leave, but Curtis says he will do it. Willow tells Drew why she can’t forgive Brad for what he did to her family and Lucas. Drew tries to distract her and tells her not to judge Brad. At that moment, Curtis walks over to their table to tell Drew to leave his club. Drew can’t believe it, and follows Curtis into the hall. Curtis tells him Willow can stay, but not Drew. Curtis tells him he doesn’t want him there. Drew and Willow leave. Liz and Cyrus continue their frank discussion. Liz doesn’t sit, and backs away when Cyrus approaches. Cyrus tells why he did what he did for Lulu. He says he was motivated for spiritual reasons. Liz tells him it’s not his choice. She understands people dying is a gift, and sees Cyrus believes this. She asks about the others that died.
Cyrus opens up and tells her God gave him a mission to free the souls of comatose patients. He thought he was giving Lulu a gift by releasing her from her comatose misery. He tells her he drugged Lulu with a different drug before, which led to liver failure. He killed Sam because she got in his way of carrying out his mission. He figured out a way to kill others by testing digitalis on Sam. Liz understands why he used that drug. She asked why Dex had to die. Cyrus killed him because Dex saw him in Sam’s room. Liz tells him that was more like something the old Cyrus would do. Cyrus says he had no malice against Dex. A flashback shows Cyrus in the morgue taking Dex’s hospital wrist band. Cyrus thinks Liz understands. She asks him about Michael, and later asks Cyrus about his Mother’s condition. He thanks Liz for understanding his mission’s importance. Joss leaves when someone comes to take over her shift.
Emma is unhappy, and Gio tries to help Emma from feeling disappointed. He tells her he loves her passion about what she cares about. Liz tells Cyrus that his purpose is like hers, trying to heal people. Cyrus apologizes for what he’s about to do and pulls out a syringe. Lucky rushes in and tells Cyrus to get away from Liz. Liz breaks away from Cyrus and Lucky fights with him. Dante tells Chase things will work out between him and Brook Lynn. He shares his experience when he and Lulu couldn’t have kids. He knows Chase won’t be that way. Chase thanks him for listening and goes home to see Brook Lynn. Drew takes Willow to his new house. She loves it.
Drew’s making big plans for Willow, and surprises her by asking her to move in with him. Brook Lynn gives Lulu a quick lesson on office management, and eventually their conversation turns personal. They are in a shouting match when Dante interrupts. Dante tells Brook Lynn Chase is on his way home, and she leaves. Dante asks Lulu what she said to Brook Lynn, and Dante tells her to leave Brook Lynn alone. Lulu complains about her life. Dante tells her about Chase and Brook Lynn’s inability to have children.
Emma thanks Gio for helping her with her SAAC Org. He tells her he enjoys her company. Portia stops Brad and asks him if he had a good Valentine’s Day, and he did. Curtis asks her if she’s cool with Brad. Portia says she is, and will focus on what’s in front of her, which is Curtis. They kiss again. Lucky knocks out Cyrus, but not before Cyrus injects him with digitalis in his leg with the syringe. Liz calls 911.
