Kai takes Trina to the Rice Modern Art Museum and tells her he might get a season pass. Trina loves the museum. Kai tells her she inspires him to try new things. He has a surprise for her. At GH, Brad asks Felicia if she knows when they are supposed to get their symposium itinerary. She’ll email him a copy. She teases him, and walks off. Lucas and Brad chat at the nurses station. Lucas compliments him. Jordan stops by Portia’s office. Jordan informs her that Cyrus is missing. Anna tells Jason the forensics report could only find his DNA (two hairs) at Cyrus’ cabin. Jason continues denying he killed Cyrus. He has an alibi that can prove he was never there. Alexis stops by Drew’s new house because Maxie called her. Maxie states she needed her input on decorating Scout’s bedroom.
Alexis says she’s not a decorator, and actually came to see Drew. She tells him about Sam’s murder. In Jack Brennan’s office, Colette tells him that Jason was brought to PCPD for questioning. He gets a call about Carly. She just showed up. Colette leaves for a debrief. Carly came to thank him for fixing her plumbing and to ask about the call he got before leaving last night. Joss goes to PCPD and asks Ms.Turner, from the DA’s Office, about Jason Morgan. She tells her he was brought in for questioning about Cyrus Renault.Alexis tells Drew Sam was killed by Cyrus. He’s stunned and asks how he tells Scout, Sam and his daughter.
Alexis cautions him against telling her, and he agrees. He tells Alexis how sorry he is for everything. Portia and Jordan discuss Cyrus. She asks if that awful man is really gone. Jordan assures her he’s gone, and she can breathe easily now. They can’t trust the news is true. They both had terrible experiences with Cyrus. Brad teases Lucas about the symposium they are attending. They joke about the hotel bar and drinks, when Ms. Selina Wu, his aunt, walks in. Brennan apologizes for living so abruptly. Carly’s glad he did because she might have asked him to stay the night. She thought he might have turned her down. He assures her he definitely would have stayed. Carly’s not comfortable with her and Brennan’s relationship. She doesn’t want a fling. He wants a relationship, too.
Maxie gives Drew all the maintenance documents for equipment installed in the house. He tells her he wants Willow to help with some of the decorating, and Maxie realizes Willow is moving in. Willow and Nina arrive. Jason tells Anna Drew’s his alibi. Anna goes to talk to Ms. Turner, as Joss pleads with her, telling her Jason didn’t kill Cyrus. Joss worriedly asks Anna if she can speak to her, and she agrees. Ms. Turner tells Anna she’s been officially removed from Cyrus’ case because of lack of objectivity.
Joss tells them again that Jason didn’t do it. Kai tells Trina the exhibit is actually an immersive experience, and hands her some overalls. He loved the idea of it being an expression of the community where everyone can paint on huge canvases. He removes his shoulder sling, which worries Trina. He tells her it’s alright because today’s special. Trina warns him that she’s not that artistic. They happily go off to immerse themselves. Ms. Wu interrupts Brad and Lucas, to talk privately. Lucas leaves, Felicia calls Portia and asks her to come to the nurses station. Meanwhile, Selina gives Brad an envelope with his letter of resignation. She wants him to work with her. Brad adamantly refuses.. As Portia rushes out, Jordan warns her about Selina. Selina holds Brad responsible for Cody’s debt. Portia walks up and asks Selina to leave. Selina tells Brad to “wise up and don’t be bullied” in Chinese, and leaves.
Felicia gives Brad his itinerary. Portia thanks Brad and asks him about a matter he was supposed to take care of, and he confirms it’s done. Brad gets a message from Selina asking him to meet her at the Surf Lodge.Nina compliments Maxie on her decorating skills. Maxie asks Willow for her input on decorations, and takes her away. Drew tells Nina she’s not welcome there. Nina tells him he’s not getting Willow and her kids to move in. Drew tells Nina she’s jealous of Willow. Drew gets a call from PCPD, and leaves with Willow. Nina asks Maxie to help her stop Willow from moving in with Drew. Maxie tells Nina to check Drew’s safe, and runs out. The combo is in a folder on the coffee table.
Ms. Turner goes in to see Jason. Joss pleads with Anna to do something. ADA Turner tells Jason to cooperate. Jason asks for his attorney. Anna tells ADA Turner about his alibi. Alexis stops by GH to tell Lucas about Sam’s death. He admits he’s known about it for some time. He tells her about the investigation. She asks why no one told her. He explains why he didn’t go to Sam’s funeral. She eases his mind about doing surgery on Sam. Joss rushes to Brennan’s office to save Jason, but is stopped by Colette. Brennan tells Carly he’s ready for a relationship.
Colette calls Brennan about Joss. He tells Carly about Jason being taken into custody. Joss is allowed into Brennan’s office after Carly leaves. She asks why Jason’s being charged for Cyrus’ murder. Brennan tells her WSB put Jason’s DNA in the cabin to frame Jason for her. He assures her Jason won’t go to prison. He tricks her into accepting that, for the greater good. Brad meets Selina, and begs her to not make him quit his job. He wants to be a better man. She says he has to repay the debt. He offers Portia tampering with Heather Webber’s test results in exchange for clearing his debt. Selina accepts.Trina and Kai paint separate canvas’. She helps him interpret his painting, and how it represents him. He says he didn’t have interest in art until she inspired him.
Later, Portia and Jordan continue discussing Cyrus’ sudden disappearance. Jordan says it was a little too neat. She believes he’s gone, but the case closure is questionable.
Carly gets to the station and asks Anna why Jason’s been arrested. Drew and Willow walk in. Ms. Turner tells Drew about Cyrus’ disappearance, and wants to confirm Drew's Jason’s alibi.Brennan gives Joss her first WSB assignment for the greater good. She refused at first.
