‘Gilded Age’ Season 3 Adds Eight to Cast, Including Merritt Wever, Leslie Uggams, Andrea Martin


“The Gilded Age” Season 3 has added eight actors to it cast, Variety has reported.


Bill Camp (“The Night Of,” “Presumed Innocent”), Merritt Wever (“Unbelievable,” “Godless,” “Nurse Jackie”), Leslie Uggams (“Roots,” “Deadpool”), LisaGay Hamilton (“The Dropout,” HBO’s “Winning Time”), Paul Alexander Nolan, Hattie Morahan (“Operation Mincemeat,” “Fool Me Once”), Andrea Martin (“Evil,” “My Big Fat Greek Wedding”), and Jessica Frances Dukes (“Ozark,” “Earth Abides”) have all been cast in the third season of the HBO period drama.


BILL CAMP portrays JP Morgan, the renowned investment banker who clashes with George Russell (Spector) regarding the future of the railroad industry.


MERRITT WEVER plays Monica O’Brien, the estranged sister of Bertha Russell (Coon), who appears at a critical moment for the family.


LESLIE UGGAMS embodies Mrs. Ernestine Brown, a friend of Elizabeth Kirkland and a member of the Black elite community in Newport.


LISAGAY HAMILTON takes on the role of Frances Ellen Watkins Harper, the renowned Black suffragist who motivates Peggy (Denée Benton) to join her cause, despite opposition from those around her.


PAUL ALEXANDER NOLAN portrays Alfred Merrick, a charming and wealthy New York businessman with all the characteristics of old money – elegance, refinement, and sophistication. The Russells invite him to dinner in hopes of securing a business deal.


HATTIE MORAHAN plays Lady Sarah Vere, the sister of the Duke of Buckingham (Ben Lamb), who makes it clear that the Russells are not to her liking.


ANDREA MARTIN embodies Madame Dashkova, a medium who claims to communicate with the deceased.


JESSICA FRANCES DUKES takes on the role of Athena Trumbo, Dorothy's (Audra McDonald) beloved first cousin and a member of an elite group of Black residents in Newport, Rhode Island. She is delighted to host Peggy (Benton) and supports her writing career.
