Hacks has become a hit with fans over the last three seasons and shows no signs of slowing down. In fact Max has recently released the trailer for the upcoming fourth season of its hit show. The season will drop on April 10 on the streaming giant.
Hacks is a comedy-drama TV series that premiered on HBO Max in 2021. The show follows on the quirky partnership between Deborah (played by Jean Smart), a veteran, but aging stand-up comedian, and Ava (played by Hannah Einbinder), a young, struggling comedy writer who has fallen out of favor in the industry.
Debra, who has built her career on performing in Las Vegas, is facing a decline in her relevance as her audience and career opportunities dwindle. Ava, on the other hand, is a disgraced writer who needs a job to salvage her career. The two come together out of shared interests.
"Hacks" is loved by fans for its sharp writing, strong performances, especially from Jean Smart, and its mix of humor and heart.
Deborah and Ava are back at it and it looks like their relationship gets even more complicated in the new season. Deborah was already struggling with her career last season and Ava, finally was finding her footing as a writer in the world of comedy. Of course the highlight of this show is their relationship and the chemistry they have with one another.
This new season (based on the trailer) will go even further into Ava and Deborah's dynamic. Lots of laughs and emotions are sure to make for an interesting season. The show is constantly winning all the acting awards and based on this trailer, more awards are guaranteed to be on the horizon.
