Halle Berry Joins Thriller 'Crime 101' Alongside Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo and Barry Keoghan

Halle Berry is in final negotiations to join the cast of Amazon MGM Studios' upcoming thriller Crime 101, which already features star power from Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, and Barry Keoghan. The film, based on a short story by Don Winslow, is set to begin shooting in two weeks and is directed by Bart Layton, known for American Animals and The Imposter.

Crime 101 revolves around a series of high-profile jewelry thefts along the Pacific Coast Highway that have remained unsolved for years, attributed to Colombian cartels. However, Detective Lou Lubesnick suspects that the real culprit is a lone-wolf jewel thief adhering to a strict code he calls "Crime 101." As the thief seeks one last major score, Lou decides to break all the rules.

The film is being produced by Working Title’s Tim Bevan and Eric Fellner, The Story Factory’s Shane Salerno, Raw’s Bart Layton and Dimitri Doganis, and Derrin Schlesinger, with Joely Fether serving as executive producer. Hemsworth, Ruffalo, and Keoghan are also in negotiations to star and Hemsworth will produce alongside his partner Ben Grayson.

Crime 101 marks another exciting project for Berry, who has been busy on the big screen this year with roles in the survival thriller Never Let Go and the spy comedy The Union. With such a strong cast and intriguing premise, anticipation is building for this thriller.
