After the successful Season 6 of Love Island on Peacock, the streaming service is renewing the dating show’s spinoff for a second season.
Love Island Games, featuring Islanders from various countries, is making a comeback on the NBCU platform. Its initial season debuted in November.
Ariana Madix-hosted Love Island USA saw its viewership double from previous seasons, reportedly becoming one of Peacock’s top-performing shows overall.
David George, CEO of ITV America, mentioned to Deadline the company's interest in expanding the Love Island franchise, indicating a positive direction.
In George's words to Deadline: “We are discussing ways to expand the Love Island universe. This is a great opportunity. Once you establish a valuable brand, the possibilities are endless. The key is to create brands of value; it's truly remarkable and advantageous.”
Love Island Games features returning Islanders from the U.S. and UK editions, alongside contestants from the Australian, French, and Swedish versions, engaging in challenges while seeking romance.
Love Island Games is produced by ITV Entertainment, with the first season executive produced by David George, Adam Sher, Simon Thomas, Andy Cadman, Ben Thursby-Palmer, Claudine Parish, Kate Amarnani, Sophie Bush, Tom Gould, Richard Cowles, Mike Spencer, Richard Foster, and Chet Fenster.
