HBO’s highly anticipated limited series Task has added two powerhouse actresses to its already stellar cast. Martha Plimpton (Raising Hope) and Mireille Enos (Killing) will star opposite Mark Ruffalo in this upcoming crime drama, which is set to premiere in 2025.
Created by Brad Ingelsby, the mind behind Mare of Easttown, Task takes place in the working-class suburbs outside of Philadelphia, where Ruffalo plays an FBI agent tasked with heading up a special Task Force. His mission? To put an end to a string of drug-house robberies led by an unsuspecting family man.
The New Additions
Plimpton will portray Kathleen McGinty, the FBI Supervisory Senior Resident in Charge. A seasoned career agent, Kathleen recruits Ruffalo’s character, Tom, to lead the Task Force, just as she is faced with the news that she is being forced into retirement.
Enos will play Susan Brandis, Tom’s devoted wife and the emotional core of the family. A woman who married Tom young, Susan was the reason he left the priesthood, and her support is crucial as Tom becomes embroiled in the complex case.

In addition to Plimpton and Enos, the ensemble for Task also includes a talented group of actors, such as:
