Max's Salem’s Lot Movie Gets October Release Date — Watch Trailer


The anticipation for New Line Cinema’s adaptation of Stephen King’s classic 1975 novel “Salem’s Lot is palpable, especially with the creative team behind it. Debuting on Thursday, October 3 on Max, this film is set to be a significant addition to the horror genre.


Gary Dauberman, known for his work on “The Conjuring” universe and the “It” films, is both writing and directing this adaptation, and his involvement promises a fresh yet faithful take on the story. The producing team includes James Wan and Michael Clear from Atomic Monster, Roy Lee from Vertigo, and Mark Wolper, all of whom bring a wealth of experience in crafting compelling horror narratives.


With these experienced hands guiding the project, fans can expect a chilling and immersive adaptation that pays homage to King’s original novel while delivering a contemporary cinematic experience.


The official logline reads: "Author Ben Mears returns to his childhood home of Jerusalem’s Lot in search of inspiration for his next book only to discover his hometown is being preyed upon by a bloodthirsty vampire."


The cast includes, Lewis Pullman (Ben Mears), Alfre Woodard (Dr. Cody), Makenzie Leigh (Susan Norton), Bill Camp (Matthew Burke), Spencer Treat Clark (Mike Ryerson), Pilou Asbæk (Straker), and John Benjamin Hickey (Father Callahan).


Gary Dauberman writes, directs, and executive produces the film; producers are James Wan and Michael Clear for Atomic Monster; Roy Lee for Vertigo; and Mark Wolper.
