MGM+ Deads 'The Winter King' and 'Beacon 23'

It looks like MGM+ is moving on from both Beacon 23 and The Winter King. It’s always a bit of a letdown when shows we get invested in don’t get to continue, especially with the unique takes both series had. Beacon 23 had a cool sci-fi premise with Lena Headey and Stephan James, and The Winter King was diving into some intriguing historical drama with Iain De Caestecker as Arthur Pendragon.

It’s definitely possible that Beacon 23 and The Winter King might find new homes or platforms. With Beacon 23 having originated on Spectrum Originals before its shutdown, it’s had a bit of a tumultuous path, but there might be interest from other platforms in picking it up. The Winter King, with its co-production backing from ITV, could also attract attention from networks or streaming services that are looking for compelling historical dramas.

It's always a bit of a rollercoaster with shows that get canceled or end early, but there’s often a chance for new opportunities or platforms to give them another shot. Here’s hoping both series get a chance to continue their stories!
