Morris Chestnut Stars as 'Watson' - Without Sherlock Holmes in New CBS Drama
CBS has announced that the new medical mystery series, WATSON, starring Morris Chestnut, will debut following the AFC Championship Game on Sunday, January 26, 2025, at 10:00-11:00 PM ET.
The show will also be available for streaming on Paramount+. The regular airing time for WATSON will start on Sunday, February 16, from 10:00-11:00 PM ET/PT.
The series is set six months after the death of Sherlock Holmes, with Morris Chestnut playing Dr. John Watson, who leads a clinic specializing in rare disorders. The storyline involves Watson's encounters with Moriarty as they embark on a new chapter in their ongoing saga.
What is their ongoing saga? Moriarty has caused the death of Watson's partner and friend Sherlock Holmes. 'WATSON' is a medical drama with investigative elements, portraying a contemporary version of the iconic detective focusing on medical enigmas.
The cast includes Eve Harlow, Peter Mark Kendall, Ritchie Coster, Inga Schlingmann, and Rochelle Aytes. The show is produced by CBS Studios, with Craig Sweeny as the writer of the premiere episode and showrunner.
Morris Chestnut, Sallie Patrick, Larry Teng, Shäron Moalem MD, PhD, Aaron Kaplan, and Brian Morewitz serve as executive producers, with Larry Teng directing the first two episodes.
