Netflix Reveals Top Ten for the Week of September 23

This weekend, rom-com fans were thrilled to see Kristen Bell and Adam Brody reunite in Erin Foster's new film, Nobody Wants This. The movie debuted at #2 on the English TV List with 10.3 million views, captivating audiences with their chemistry, particularly during that much-anticipated first kiss. Brody’s return to rom-coms has sparked excitement among millennials, solidifying his status as the genre’s king.


Meanwhile, Ryan Murphy and Ian Brennan’s true-crime drama, Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story, dominated the charts at #1 with 19.5 million views. This second installment of the anthology series features a stellar cast, including Nicholas Alexander Chavez, Cooper Koch, Javier Bardem, and Chloë Sevigny, and explores the infamous case from multiple perspectives.


The English TV List also saw strong performances from leading ladies. Susanne Bier’s The Perfect Couple, featuring Nicole Kidman, Meghann Fahy, and Dakota Fanning, debuted at #3 with 6 million views. Emily in Paris Season 4 enchanted viewers at #5 with 4.2 million views, while Ellen DeGeneres’ final comedy special,


For Your Approval, landed at #9 with 2.4 million views.

On the Non-English TV List, the culinary competition series Culinary Class Wars (Korea) held its ground at #1 for the second consecutive week with 4.9 million views. Korean dramas continued to shine, with Gyeongseong Creature Season 2 entering at #2 (3.1 million views) and the limited series Love Next Door at #4 (2.7 million views).


Documentaries also made an impact this week, with Jailbreak: Love on the Run taking third place on the English Films List (7.6 million views), the docuseries Mr. McMahon landing fourth on the English TV List (4.9 million views), and An Invisible Victim: The Eliza Samudio Case at #4 on the Non-English Films List (4.3 million views).


Action was the name of the game in film this week, with Jeremy Saulnier’s thriller Rebel Ridge reclaiming the top spot on the English Films List with 8.9 million views, closely followed by Uglies, based on the best-selling YA novel, at 8.7 million views.


On the Non-English Films List, the action-comedy Officer Black Belt (Korea) held first place with 5.1 million views, while Thailand's gritty thriller Bangkok Breaking: Heaven and Hell debuted in second with 5 million views.


Additionally, Prison Break Seasons 1, 2, and 3 continued their streak on the English TV List, maintaining their popularity for a third consecutive week.
