Performer of the Week: Shanola Hampton in Found

Found definitely has a compelling premise, and iit’s found a solid audience! The long development process often speaks to the potential and thought that goes into creating a show, so it’s exciting to see it pay off with good ratings and a successful launch on Peacock.

The fact that it premiered during a less competitive fall season likely helped it gain traction, too. A strong cast can really elevate the material, and Shanola Hampton is bringing her A-game.

Shanola Hampton really does bring an incredible depth to her role as Gabby in Found. Her ability to convey such raw emotion makes her scenes truly impactful.

You can really feel her character's pain and struggles, which creates a strong connection with the audience. It’s always impressive when an actor can evoke such empathy through their performance.

The show itself tackles heavy themes, and Gabby’s journey adds a lot of emotional weight. It’s great to see characters portrayed with such authenticity.

Shanola Hampton's role as Gabi Mosley in Found is indeed a striking departure from her character in Shameless. Gabi’s complex nature as a commanding crisis manager, combined with her dark secret involving her former kidnapper, adds layers to her character that are both thrilling and poignant. It’s fascinating to see Hampton take on such a dramatic and intense role after portraying the vibrant and outspoken Veronica for so long.

This shift not only showcases her versatility as an actress but also allows her to explore deeper themes of trauma and empowerment. The dynamic between Gabi and Sir creates a compelling tension, making viewers curious about their past and how it influences her present.

It's always exciting to see actors take bold risks in their careers, and this role is really paying off for Hampton.
