Performer of the Week: Tracy Ifeachor on 'The Pitt'

Writer: Je-ReeJe-Ree

This week our Performer of the Week goes to Tracy Ifeachor as Heather Collins on The Pitt.

Collins from the first episode had grabbed our attention here at Je-Ree Reviews Media along with fans. Everyone wanted to know immediately the backstory of her pregnancy and if Dr. Robby was the father. Our readers were hooked and could only talk about when she would tell Robby he was the father.

Well, we all were sort of correct. Collins finally told Robby she suffered a miscarriage, and he was of course shocked. The remainder of the episode was a gut punch of emotions for Collins as she had to assist with the birth of a newborn in the emergency room. The amount of strength it took to put personal feelings aside and do her job was incredible.

Tracy Ifeachor has been brilliant in the role giving us all types of different emotional beats and layers to Collins. She gives off a look and you cannot help but feel for her. The scene in the ambulance where she confesses to Robby that while they were dating, she was pregnant but chose not to move forward with that pregnancy was heartbreaking.

In that moment you felt her nervousness at his reaction. Robby was perfect in his response to that by the way. Tracy displayed Heather’s vulnerability perfectly in the moment. We were on the edge of our seat wondering what was going to happen.

Now that the truth is out, what does this mean for their friendship/relationship moving forward. Robby told her she could go home and relax but will she come back with the hospital to get patients from the active shooter situation at the concert?

We can only wait until next week to see how the rest of Collins story unfolds for the remainder of the season. One thing is for sure, Tracy Ifeachor will bring it with her presence you can’t miss and amazing acting choices and this is why she is Je-Ree Reviews Media Performer of the Week.
