PREVIEW: ‘Bad Sisters’ Season 2: Everything We Know So Far

The Season 2 premiere of Sharon Horgan's dark murder-mystery series Bad Sisters is scheduled for Wednesday, November 13 on Apple TV+. The second season will kick off with two episodes, then followed by one episode weekly every Wednesday until December 25, exclusively on Apple TV+. Season 2 of the series continues to delve into the lives of the Garvey siblings portrayed by Sharon Horgan as ‘Eva,’ Anne-Marie Duff as ‘Grace,’ Eva Birthistle as ‘Ursula,’ Sarah Greene as ‘Bibi,’ and Eve Hewson as ‘Becka.’ Following the "accidental death" of ‘Grace’s’ abusive husband two years ago, the Garvey siblings, who are very close, may have tried to move forward. However, when old truths resurface, they find themselves back in the limelight, suspicion runs high, lies are told, secrets come to light, and they must figure out who to trust.

The cast of the new season includes Fiona Shaw, Owen McDonnell, Thaddea Graham, Barry Ward, Michael Smiley, Saise Quinn, Daryl McCormack, Yasmine Akram, Jonjo O’Neill, Peter Claffey, Deirdre Mullins, Lorcan Cranitch, Liz Fitzgibbon, and Justine Mitchell.

The debut season of Bad Sisters won the BAFTA Television Awards for Best Drama Series and Anne-Marie Duff received the Best Supporting Actress award. The series was also honored with a Peabody Award and received four Emmy Award nominations, including the first lead actress nomination for Horgan, as well as nominations for Outstanding Casting, Writing, and Directing in a Drama Series. Bad Sisters has also been acknowledged by the WGA, the Critics Choice Awards, the Royal Television Society, and the Irish Film and Television Awards.

The show is executive produced by Horgan, Faye Dorn, and Clelia Mountford for Merman; Dearbhla Walsh also serves as an executive producer and director. Additional executive producers include Bert Hamelnick, Michael Sagol, along with Dave Finkel and Brett Baer, who adapted the series from the Belgian original Clan created by Malin-Sarah Gozin, who also serves as an executive producer. Bad Sisters is produced by Merman Television and ABC Signature, a part of Disney Television Studios.
