PREVIEW: 'FBI' Season 7 Everything We Know So Far

Returning this fall on CBS, the agents handling significant cases in New York are set for more action. Tuesdays will once again be dedicated to all things related to the FBI franchise, including FBI, FBI: International, and FBI: Most Wanted, for the 2024-2025 season.

“The All-FBI Tuesday is a powerful force to be reckoned with on our primetime schedule,” said Amy Reisenbach, president of CBS Entertainment, in a statement when all three were renewed in April 2024. “Dick Wolf and the talent in front of and behind the camera on all three series continue to deliver top-notch storytelling, riveting action and intrigue that has captivated a dedicated fanbase steadily across multiple seasons. We are excited to see what next season holds for all these heroic characters.”

Season 6 did not end on a significant cliffhanger. It concluded the season-long investigation into the individual accountable for the murder of an FBI agent, Hobbs (portrayed by Roshawn Franklin), in the first episode. Tiffany (played by Katherine Renee Kane) was deeply affected by the loss, having worked undercover with him, and she was resolute in apprehending Hakim. Ultimately, in the last episode, she fatally shot him as he reached for a weapon.

Regarding casting, all the primary actors are expected to return, including Missy Peregrym as Special Agent Maggie Bell, Zeeko Zaki as Special Agent Omar Adom "OA" Zidan, Jeremy Sisto as Assistant Special Agent in Charge Jubal Valentine, Alana De La Garza as Special Agent in Charge Isobel Castille, John Boyd as Special Agent Stuart Scola, and Katherine Renee Kane as Special Agent Tiffany Wallace. Rick Eid has stepped down as showrunner, but he will remain an executive producer. In his place, Mike Weiss has taken over as showrunner and executive producer. Additionally, Dick Wolf, Alex Chapple, Amanda Slater, and Peter Jankowski are also serving as executive producers.

Specific details about the new season have not been released yet. Undoubtedly, the weekly cases and personal narratives for the agents will persist. This will involve Maggie's ongoing responsibility for raising Ella after her friend Jessica’s passing (Charlotte Sullivan) and OA's connection with Gemma (Comfort Clinton). Additionally, we anticipate ongoing collaborations with Most Wanted, particularly focusing on Scola and Nina (Shantel VanSanten) managing their professional duties alongside their relationship and family responsibilities.

What we do know for a fact is that FBI was picked up through the 2026-2027 broadcast season meaning we will get a Season 8 and a Season 9.
