Prime Video Orders 'Reacher' Spinoff Lead by Maria Sten
A spinoff starring Maria Sten has been ordered, expanding Prime Video's "Reacher" universe.
The synopsis reads: “The Untitled Neagley Project” focuses on Sten’s Frances Neagley, a private investigator in Jack Reacher’s circle. “When she learns that a beloved friend from her past has been killed in a suspicious accident, she becomes hell bent on justice. “Using everything she’s learned from Jack Reacher and her time as a member of the 110 Special Investigators, Neagley puts herself on a dangerous path to uncover a menacing evil.”
The announcement was made by Jennifer Salke, the head of Amazon MGM Studios, during the Prime Video Presents: Trailblazers event in London on Tuesday. The spinoff of the "Reacher" series was developed by Nick Santora in collaboration with Nicholas Wootton, a writer from "Law & Order," who will both act as co-showrunners and executive producers. The show is a joint production of Amazon MGM Studios, Skydance Television, and CBS Studios. While the release date remains undisclosed, the series will be available exclusively for streaming on Prime Video in over 240 countries and territories.
Child, Don Granger, and Lisa Kussner, alongside Santora and Wootton, serve as executive producers of the series. David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, and Matt Thunell are also part of the executive production team for Skydance Television. Carolyn Harris, Kenny Madrid, and Niko Fernandez will supervise the project on behalf of Skydance.
