Seth Rogen is having a hard time in the first teaser for The Studio, Apple TV+’s upcoming comedy series.
Rogen (known for Platonic on Apple TV+) stars as Matt Remick, the newly appointed head of Continental Studios, a struggling production company navigating the turbulent film industry. Two episodes are dropping on Wednesday, March 26, 2025, followed by weekly episodes every Wednesday until the finale on May 21.
According to the official synopsis, The Studio follows Matt and his team of feuding executives as they confront their personal insecurities, deal with egotistical artists, and endure pressure from profit-driven corporate bosses. "With their power suits hiding a constant state of panic, every party, set visit, casting choice, and awards show offers either the chance for dazzling success or career-ruining failure. For Matt, a lifelong movie enthusiast, it’s the dream job he’s always wanted — one that might just destroy him."
The cast includes comedy legends and rising stars alike, such as Catherine O’Hara (Schitt’s Creek), Kathryn Hahn (WandaVision), Ike Barinholtz (The Mindy Project), and Chase Sui Wonders (City on Fire, Generation). The teaser also hints at guest appearances by renowned filmmakers Ron Howard and Martin Scorsese, as well as actors Bryan Cranston, Charlize Theron, Zac Efron, Anthony Mackie, Paul Dano, and Zoë Kravitz.
Created by Peter Huyck and Alex Gregory (White House Plumbers, Veep), the series also features Rogen, Evan Goldberg, and Frida Perez as co-creators. Rogen and Goldberg serve as writers, directors, and executive producers alongside Point Grey Pictures’ James Weaver, Alex McAtee, and Josh Fagen.
With its star-studded cast and behind-the-scenes Hollywood hilarity, The Studio promises to deliver a sharp, comedic look at the chaotic pursuit of cinematic greatness.
