In the season finale one of the biggest surprises comes with Bela’s character arc. After dealing with the fallout of her breakup with Arvind, Bela reconnects with her love for comedy and performing. While she navigates the ups and downs of her love life, she found herself drawn to Hailey, who shares her quirky energy. Their chemistry is undeniable, and the two share a kiss at a frat party, marking a huge moment for Bela as she begins to embrace her queerness.
The season finale closes on a heartfelt note as the friends come together to celebrate their victories and support each other. Bela’s mom, proud of her daughter’s journey, shares a tender moment with Bela at the end of the episode.

The series was created by Mindy Kaling and Justin Noble served as showrunner. The series, a comedy, followed Essex College students and roommates Kimberly (Pauline Chalamet), Whitney (Alyah Chanelle Scott) and Bela (Amrit Kaur) as they juggled school, friendships and relationships.
