Soap Star in the Making: Bryan Dattilo's Daughter Delila Joins General Hospital for Her Acting Debut

Bryan Dattilo, best known for his long-running role as Lucas Horton on Days of Our Lives, is thrilled to announce that his 10-year-old daughter, Delila Dattilo, is joining the world of soap operas. Delila will make her debut on General Hospital, appearing in scenes at Rice Plaza during the busy holiday season. Bryan proudly shared the news on Instagram, joking, "A Dattilo was spotted in Port Charles. Finally a real soap star in the family. #GH #DOOL."

Delila's acting journey began early. While her mom, Elizabeth Cameron, has done background work for years, it was Delila’s natural talent that quickly moved her into principal roles and commercials. "She’s already done more commercials than I did at her age," Bryan says with pride. Delila’s acting chops are impressive, and Bryan credits her ability to memorize lines, songs, and even TV show scripts with ease.

In a 2022 interview, Bryan expressed how proud he was of Delila’s growing interest in acting, even joking that she could one day play Days character Arianna, the granddaughter of his character Lucas. "She has more interviews than I do," he laughed, acknowledging that Delila's career is already ahead of his at the same age.

Delila’s passion for acting has only grown. During the 2023 production strikes, she turned to theater, starring in productions like Seussical: The Musical and Bye Bye Birdie. Bryan says he’s always supported her but never pushed her into the business. "She just loves it. She’s really into musical theater, rehearsing, singing, and dancing."

Delila, who has an agent and regularly auditions, is clearly on a fast track to a successful career, and Bryan couldn’t be prouder. "She's going to be so much bigger than I am," he predicts. "She has a huge career ahead of her."

Bryan, who married Elizabeth in 2011, is also a father to son Gabriel from his first marriage. With Delila’s rising star, it seems the Dattilo family’s legacy in show business is just getting started.

We love a soap family!
