The Accused, the new BET+ original movie is available for streaming on April 10th.
Based on the screenplay by Pat White and Clarence Williams and directed by Tony Glazer, ‘The Accused’ stars Paige Audrey-Marie Hurd, Crystal Lee Brown, Summer Crockett Moore, Nicole G. Leier, Lawrence Saint-Victor, Rockmond Dunbar and Manny Perez, the official logline reads, “When a brilliant plant geneticist is framed for her fiance's murder, she must go on the run, relying on her intelligence and physical prowess to expose the truth and clear her name before time runs out.”
Our lead Paige Audrey-Marie Hurd stars as “Dani West” who is "a brilliant and dedicated plant geneticist who works tirelessly to improve the lives of patients through her research. Paige Audrey-Marie Hurd is no stranger to BET as her other credits include The Oval as well as Power Book II: Ghost and Hawaii Five-0.
Lawrence Saint Victor, known for his role on the Bold and the Beautiful, stars as “Detective Lance Branson” and is described as “a dedicated and hard-working police detective. Lance balances his demanding career with the responsibilities of being a husband and father-to-be. He is a man of integrity, deeply committed to justice, and often goes above and beyond in his investigations. Lance is physically fit and resourceful, attributes that come in handy in his line of work. Despite his tough exterior, he has a soft spot for his wife showing a more tender and caring side in his interactions with her.”
Meanwhile, "Detective Nadine Styles" played by Summer Crockett Moore is a relentless and cold-blooded detective driven by avarice and a thirst for power according the the official character description.
