'The Gentlemen' Gets A Second Season From Netflix

Netflix has announced the renewal of Guy Ritchie’s show The Gentlemen for a second season. Theo James, Kaya Scodelario, and Daniel Ings will be reprising their roles in the upcoming eight-episode installment of the popular series. The show, created by Ritchie is based on his movie. Ritchie, who received an Emmy nomination for his directing in the first season, will be returning to direct the new season.

Taking place in the same setting as Ritchie’s 2019 Miramax film of the identical title, the inaugural season of the series revolves around Eddie Horniman (James), who unexpectedly inherits his father's substantial rural property, only to realize it is part of a cannabis empire. Furthermore, a variety of shady individuals from the criminal underworld in Britain are interested in getting involved in the business. Intent on freeing his family from their influence, Eddie attempts to outsmart the gangsters. However, as he becomes more involved in the criminal world, he starts to develop a liking for it, forming an unlikely alliance with the sophisticated yet ruthless Susie Glass (Scodelario).

Filming on Season 2 is set to begin next year.
